I guess to reinforce the idea that they were in Portland, Larry constantly walks around in a yellow rain coat. People seldom walk around in rain coats in Portland, they're so used to the weather, they just deal with it. It's most cloudy and it drizzles in Portland, it's not like they get huge rain storms like they do back East.
This show also shows why casting is so important. The second daughter and the huge guy were totally miscast. If they built the show around McLean and Kim Richards, it could have worked.
Did McLean always throw his jacket in the kitchen sink, on the show?? 7:15
