  • I wonder what would happen if you tried that on a Federation ship.

  • I usually favor the Vulcans, but you cannot deny a rousing Klingon war song

  • @Jokerman665 A logical conclusion....

  • Outstanding!

  • HEED THE WORDS OF KAHLESS!! THE WIND DOES NOT RESPECT A FOOL!!!

  • Qoy qeylIS puqloD, Qoy puqbe'pu'!

HIja'! tIqDaq tlhIngan SuvwI' maH! o/

    }}:)

  • @atomikus37 - The bridge of that ship w / be a livelier place than the old Enterprise - D, listening to Picard yak, then Troi " feels something ". I liked TNG, but thought that the TNG movies were livelier ( & no, I'm not one of those sci - fi fans who only likes space battles & gadgets, etc. ).

  • @mrorville1 You gotta get to the Federation swine before you disembowel them with a ba'tleth.

  • What DS9 episode is this from?

  • @Budoshi its from the star trek video game "star trek: klingon"

  • @kallemick Thanks:)

  • @Budoshi your welcome :)

  • Heh heh, 'pook load'

  • I always liked Gowron best of all the Klingons. The eyes of a nutcase.

  • Is that Gowran in command?

  • @A16AdamWalker yup it is :D

  • Qoy qeylIs puqloD. Qoy puqbe'pu'. yoHbogh matlhbogh je SuvwI' Say'moHchu' may' 'Iw. maSuv manong 'ej maHoHchu'. nI'be' yInmaj 'ach wovqu'. batlh maHeghbej 'ej yo' qIjDaq vavpu'ma' DImuv. pa' reH maSuvtaHqu'. mamevQo'. maSuvtaH. ma'ov.

  • I play STO fairly often. I blasted this on vent when our Klingon Feet went into battle.

It was glorious. Some of us geeks even sang along. Q'apla, brothers. We sent many to their deaths that night, and none of us were sent on that one way trip on the barge to Sto'Vo'Kor.

  • @Rennik100 what fleet are you with. i was one of the founding members of Gin'tak Vo Sto'Vo'Kor.

  • Beautiful! Now I have the lyrics for when I go to my Trekkie feast in January!

  • LOL that's from that old Klingon game for PC back in the late 90's. I had that game!

  • Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam!

  • In Space, nobody can hear you rap...

  • I like all the poo

  • i always wanna be in the federation until i hear a klingon song

  • Hail Gowron!

  • @brav0wing - " Is there no joy in your heart ? " ( about being a Klingon ) - Kahless " Rightful Heir ".

    Klingons are cool.....

    O.K., I'm a geek.....

  • @brav0wing -

    Oops. I mean Qelles.

  • If I understand correctly, the Klingons mostly followed their code of honor around the time of ENTERPRISE, but degenerated into amoral double-crossers by the time of TOS, and then experienced their equivalent of a moral revival and were mostly honorable again by the time of the three 24th-century series.

  • @amrak63 My bad. I read on Memory Alpha that the Klingons had already begun to fall away from their old code by the time of ENTERPRISE.

  • @amrak63 -

Yeah, I wouldn't have trusted a TOS Klingon to watch my back, unless I wanted a knife in it. Also, a genetic disease ( In ENT ) supposedly caused some Klingons to take on a more " human " appearance, accounting for their appearance in TOS.

  • is it from DS9 or a game?

that guy on the left kinda looks and sounds like Avery Brooks.

  • @gstv87 it's a game I think, Star Trek Klingon

  • KLINGON fail. the word 'Klingon' certainly does not sound like the gutteral language. Klingon sounds more like a cling wrap brand. Marc Okrand sure missed that out.

  • @happynuts klingon is the english adaptation of the word "tlhIngan" part of the language Okrand created, which is properly called tlhIngan Hol.

    Also, taH pagh taHbe'?

  • O_e"

  • This is one of the few reasons why Klingon ships look more fun to travel on than Federation vessels - you wouldn't catch Picard & co. singing awesome war songs on a science mission, after all :P

  • 0.16 she says poo! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D lolz

  • Qapla!!

  • Awesome fight song! Ive been studying Klingon for 5 months now and am starting to learn it. No one will mess with me when I embrace the Tou-Rae of Suitte! Klingon 4Ever!

  • This sounds like beatbox.

  • What is the source of this clip? I can't remember it from any ep I've seen...is it a DVD extra?

  • @fozzibab

Actually there is a scene very similar to this, the same song and setting, just with Martok except of Gowron. DS9 Season 5, Soldiers Of The Empire as I recall.

  • @Iced81987 you're absolutely right, that ep does have a scene similar to this, but it's not the same exact scene. I actually just finished rewatching the whole series, this is definitely not in any ep from any season. It's got to be an extra on a dvd or something. SUPER AWESOME.

  • @fozzibab

I think someone said it's from the Star Trek: Klingon Video game or smth.

What I wanted to say: Who needs Gowron if you can have almost the same scene with Martok? :D

  • @Iced81987

blasphemer... how dare you pick on old Bug-eyes. to the Sarlac Pit with you

    Federation Scum =3

    (j/k)

long live the sons of the empire ^__^

  • @jaganar1

I admit, Gowron had his moments, but that was in TNG. Afterwards he was not nearly as honorable a Klingon as Martok was!

    Qapla'

  • @Iced81987

i actually like them both , i cried like a starfleet captain when i saw Martok's wife ^^

she is amazingly hot for a cougar ^_^

and that Klingon Hearts poem (dax and worf wedding episode) remains one of my favorite lines in the genre .

    Jag

  • @jaganar1

I think I liked Grilka more than Sirella, but you're totally right about the Legend of the Klingon Hearts. That is another example of the greatness of Klingon culture.

I just wish there were more pieces of Klingon Literature around Star Trek. That, which is around (not only Literature, but Songs etc.) is simply amazing. I think about learning Klingonese :D

  • I'm still trying to learn Klingon but even I can't help but try and sing along to this.

  • well keep at it after many times i got it sing it at work they think i am nuts

  • @Kelticviking been there.. done that... LOL

  • i always am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I... love.... Klingons.

  • @100percentrekkie - Klingons are VERY COOL. If they were any cooler, they'd wear shades & drink the Klingon equivalent of martinis in Klingon Jazz clubs !

The bridge of ANY Klingon ship is 100 % cooler than any Federation or Romulan ship.

  • Love this. Makwes me want to hang out with the Klingons and punch things! :D

  • @madcapromanian - There's something PRIMAL in it that stirs the soul. I want to go battle something & fight even though I'm battered, bruised & bloody now !!

The Klingons came a long way from being a society of spies, saboteurs & schemers to being honorable allies ( Most of the time ).

  • Geek TV! Yeaaaaaaaaaah!

  • What episode and series is this video from????

  • It's not from any series actually. This clip comes from a 1996 FMV computer game called "Star Trek: Klingon". A game "directed" by Jonathan Frakes, no less. You can find the whole thing on Youtube I think.

Gowron is the only character from TNG/DS9 to appear in the game I think. The rest are original.

  • Thanks for the information. I have almost all of every series on tape and didn't recall ever seeing this clip before YOUTUBE.

  • Captain nu'Daq from The Chase ;)

  • and?

  • Yes, in TOS Klingons were supposed to be a galactic version of the Soviets...in later incarnations the Klingons become space samurai or space Vikings

  • So maybe someone here would know: are they really speaking Klingon in that nutty Don't Copy That 2 video or is it make up junk?

  • Tr00 klingon. All the way.

  • yeah i have the klingon dictionary. got it years ago. haven't really read it but it is a cool book

  • I have one :)

Its great to learn but if you do it like me youll soon recognize that there are not enough soundexamples around. The songs here are a really big help to understand this awsome language.

  • Wear would you geta klingon english dictionary ?

  • This sounds great! I would like to have a copy, too...

  • Is there an mp3 of this somewhere?

  • im gonna buy the klingon-english dictionary

  • I love this. I have always wanted to speak Klingon. This has helped.

  • Yes, it's very easy to learn when you listen the songs XD

  • 2 klingon words:

    QAPLA' [kahplah] = success

    TLHINGON [TLINGON] = klingon

  • Comment removed

  • klingons make me think of the Samurai, but their songs make me think of dwarves.... why idk O_o

  • why..they are both just about as hairy for one.. lol

  • actually, the samurai were more about the honor and dying in battle thing, but i have to agree with you about the dwarves

  • Is that Gowron in the seat?

  • yes

  • Thanks!

  • I bought this game 10 years ago, It was fun

  • I love klingons.

    Success Brothers!

    Success Sisters!'

  • QA TLHO'

  • correction it says n it says in the vid too Hear sons of kahless Hear daughters too

  • I wasn't talking about the video, if I was I'd have to be blind to ignore the English subtitles. I was responding to a post by someone who posted about a Klingon quote I posted a while ago. But of course you expanded to show all comments and saw this...

  • oh lmao my bad sry dude lol

  • lol no problem, sorry about being a bit arsey as well.

  • to be honest this is more of a war chant than an anthem, the Klingon national anthem should sound more like the Russian national anthem, deep, powerful, proud and patriotic.

  • You are applying Terran standards to an alien race.

    How racist!

    LOL

  • its true tho hello the klingons are based on the cold war era russians lol

  • Very true.

  • TOS era klingons are.

TNG era klingons are actually one of the most unique fictional cultures ever devised.

  • where can i download this song

  • HEY is Gowron sitting on the captain's chair?

  • yes he is the fool. but i got to admit glad he was slotted by worf. what a way to slot him two half of a batleth in his stomach.

  • Actually I think he was slot in the groin.

There is a large artery there so it would still be lethal.

    (At least in human physiology)

  • Have klingons not every life needing in double? loike organs for example!

  • Where does this footage come from? A cut scene from DS9 or a video game?

  • the Klingon production of HMS Pinafore...?

  • HAHAHAHHA....

  • A game called 'Star Trek: Klingon.'

  • It's from DS9 episode 5x21 [119] 'Soldiers of the Empire'. Qapla' :)

  • "It's from DS9 episode 5x21 [119] 'Soldiers of the Empire'. Qapla' :) "

The song was reused in 'Soldiers of the Empire" but it first appeared here in the PC game Star Trek: Klingon

  • yeah the klingons seem to have paralells to the vikings as well as samurai.

  • I think they're based on many elements of human warrior cultures.

  • don't forget Chinese... With the Mok Bah (Tai Chi). Doesn't Worf with his pony tail, and Batleth, just look like some Anime Demon-angel warrior From Square soft, ready to kick some ass? I like the Romulans and the Cardassians for their stealth and trickery though (thery're like ninjas). I'm more of a slythern fan.

  • anime demon-angel warrior.

  • Klingons - now in karaoke version ^_^

  • You know I never understood why they removed the bouncy ball, from Karaoke, (commonly used in the 50s and 60s, for television commercials). I loved that cute bouncy ball.

  • nuqneH!
