@atomikus37 - The bridge of that ship w / be a livelier place than the old Enterprise - D, listening to Picard yak, then Troi " feels something ". I liked TNG, but thought that the TNG movies were livelier ( & no, I'm not one of those sci - fi fans who only likes space battles & gadgets, etc. ).
I play STO fairly often. I blasted this on vent when our Klingon Feet went into battle.
It was glorious. Some of us geeks even sang along. Q'apla, brothers. We sent many to their deaths that night, and none of us were sent on that one way trip on the barge to Sto'Vo'Kor.
If I understand correctly, the Klingons mostly followed their code of honor around the time of ENTERPRISE, but degenerated into amoral double-crossers by the time of TOS, and then experienced their equivalent of a moral revival and were mostly honorable again by the time of the three 24th-century series.
Yeah, I wouldn't have trusted a TOS Klingon to watch my back, unless I wanted a knife in it. Also, a genetic disease ( In ENT ) supposedly caused some Klingons to take on a more " human " appearance, accounting for their appearance in TOS.
KLINGON fail. the word 'Klingon' certainly does not sound like the gutteral language. Klingon sounds more like a cling wrap brand. Marc Okrand sure missed that out.
This is one of the few reasons why Klingon ships look more fun to travel on than Federation vessels - you wouldn't catch Picard & co. singing awesome war songs on a science mission, after all :P
Awesome fight song! Ive been studying Klingon for 5 months now and am starting to learn it. No one will mess with me when I embrace the Tou-Rae of Suitte! Klingon 4Ever!
Actually there is a scene very similar to this, the same song and setting, just with Martok except of Gowron. DS9 Season 5, Soldiers Of The Empire as I recall.
@Iced81987 you're absolutely right, that ep does have a scene similar to this, but it's not the same exact scene. I actually just finished rewatching the whole series, this is definitely not in any ep from any season. It's got to be an extra on a dvd or something. SUPER AWESOME.
I think I liked Grilka more than Sirella, but you're totally right about the Legend of the Klingon Hearts. That is another example of the greatness of Klingon culture.
I just wish there were more pieces of Klingon Literature around Star Trek. That, which is around (not only Literature, but Songs etc.) is simply amazing. I think about learning Klingonese :D
@100percentrekkie - Klingons are VERY COOL. If they were any cooler, they'd wear shades & drink the Klingon equivalent of martinis in Klingon Jazz clubs !
The bridge of ANY Klingon ship is 100 % cooler than any Federation or Romulan ship.
@madcapromanian - There's something PRIMAL in it that stirs the soul. I want to go battle something & fight even though I'm battered, bruised & bloody now !!
The Klingons came a long way from being a society of spies, saboteurs & schemers to being honorable allies ( Most of the time ).
It's not from any series actually. This clip comes from a 1996 FMV computer game called "Star Trek: Klingon". A game "directed" by Jonathan Frakes, no less. You can find the whole thing on Youtube I think.
Gowron is the only character from TNG/DS9 to appear in the game I think. The rest are original.
Its great to learn but if you do it like me youll soon recognize that there are not enough soundexamples around. The songs here are a really big help to understand this awsome language.
I wasn't talking about the video, if I was I'd have to be blind to ignore the English subtitles. I was responding to a post by someone who posted about a Klingon quote I posted a while ago. But of course you expanded to show all comments and saw this...

You know I never understood why they removed the bouncy ball, from Karaoke, (commonly used in the 50s and 60s, for television commercials). I loved that cute bouncy ball.
I wonder what would happen if you tried that on a Federation ship.
