I was once sooo fucking bored of wow and decided to buy rift.. After 2 months of solid gameplay I got more bored of it then I did with wow. It's fun in the beginning but after it's reallyyyy boring. @Skakhti 1.1 had the River of Souls world event and raid trailer. 1.2 didn't have a trailer because it only had a world event. 1.3 was the big world event and raid and more trailer for Hammerknell. 1.4 is a more minor one like 1.2, but since it will also have bigger PvP content, I guess they figured they should whip up this video.

1.5 should actually be quite significant, but I won't expect it until the end of August-end of September.

Then WoW offered me the free 7 days and I tried it, and absolutely was bored out of my mind (was falling asleep in a dungeon..wtf). I then took up Rift's 50% off sale and got the digital Collector's Edition, and I'm (while knowing that Rift has clear faults that I am focal on) really enjoying it :).

I'm on Faeblight, the likely most popular RP server - it's fantastic, with much RP and many players.

I have 2 lvl 50's (max lvl) and I will say that Rift is incredibly unbalanced in PvP and end game content is extreamly limited and shallow. Do not buy this game! Save your time and your money.

im sorry but this game was annoyingly painful when i played it. it brought a new idea to the mmo aspect of having mobs spawn and rush through towns or posts BUT it was annoying when it occurred 100 times a day (exaggerating - but not by alot..). i got to lvl 50, played some endgame, did some pvp, in the end i quit after a month. it was just not all hype as it was hyped out to be. currently waiting on TERA and GW2 --- real time combat and open world, oh yeah!

@TMzong As a level 50 RIFT player myself, I'm loving it so far, the stream of content Trion have been bringing out is frankly awesome and coming quick and fast which is impressive. The RIFTs themselves are constantly updated and changing and frankly they are always awesome (if you were one of the first people on the servers where massive armies of level 20s were all defending the capital from Fire rifts, it was pretty sweet).

However, I'm definitely going for Guild Wars 2 once that's out :)
