The serving of the loan warrant was incidental. The police were after records relating to fraud. Just google the guy's name - several newspapers have the FULL story.
The outrage is that the Department of EDUCATION conducted the raid. If the Department of JUSTICE, the local police, FBI, or any other law enforcement entity conducted the raid there would be no outrage.

I read the search warrant and it did not say they had permission to bust down his door, handcuff him and detain him. They only had permission to look for items that were related to "Financial Aid Fraud", "Conspiracy", Theft of Government Funds", "False Statement to Government Agency", "Wire Fraud". SWAT teams are all the rage now. They get more money to put them together, and once setup you "have to use them or it would be a waste of money."
One thing is they might of been hoping for other crimes seen in service of the warrant so they could impound and sell those items for even more money (think if it's a SWAT raid on a drug related they get even more money).

I read the search warrant and it did not say they had permission to bust down his door, handcuff him and detain him. They only had permission to look for items that were related to "Financial Aid Fraud", "Conspiracy", Theft of Government Funds", "False Statement to Government Agency", "Wire Fraud". If that were my house I'd be gathering up all my friends and raising hell at the US District Court demanding a new door from the thugs who busted it.

The US Gov is a corporation and can do this under a change of company policy as long as you operate under the name they own (your name in all caps, and agreeing you are a CITIZEN/PERSON) which gives them permission when accepting a social security number making you an employee of the state and a 'subject'. the remedy is to de-register and file your claim of right as a flesh and blood man/woman, if unrebutted you are free. please /watch?v=JzxMakuIjtE

@803brando 1. you don't need to regulate poison free foods, the 'free market' would take care of that. 2 post roads are in the constituion, and all other roads are made by the state, or city, as they shoul dbe becasue the federal government is not told to do that in the constitution. 3 fire dept is local, not federal there fore not covered in the constitution. 4 FFA and CDC may be unconstitutional. Constitution does give the federal gov right to " regulate (make regular) interstate commerce"...

This warrant had better be issued by a federal judge and the warrant exercised by federal law enforcement. About the person of interest sought..were they going to haul her to debtor's prison?
