Believe it or not, you can learn to fly one in a couple of days. They generally run about !0 to 15 thousand dollars. You can fly them anywhere over unpopulated areas in low wind conditions.
@photoguy73 I just found out about this as well, well 7 months after you, anyway, i was blown away when i read about the costs and what not, i will for sure try this, have you tried it yet?
This is a dream for any man good job. I heard those things aren't very responsive to controls, is that just a myth? It seems you followed the river very easily here. Do they get blown around easily? I'm very serious about buying one.
beautiful..What happens when the engine quits?....you go down and fast..It happened to me learn your flares...you dont glide forward you go straight down when you are under 100 feet but it was pretty much a normal landing..just that it was in the middle of nowhere..The music is from my teen years really makes it for me dpc Alaskan
Thanks!..Mmm I was thinking of using a net on my old highly modified Six Cutter...in cas of frontal tuck on the ground...like a paramotor. That same tendency could be taken as more collaps prone in flight...My Rotax 503 barely cuts it with two up with the rectangular...To my knolege the elliptical helps in this issue to maximize performance. Regards, Alan.
Yep, one decides his own risks...As a rule the most beautifull places to fly are the less safe if it quits...Damn!! Twin engined PPC? Now, What wing is that? a Thunderbolt? I bough one but havent flown it yet...I have 300hour plus on powered paragilders and feel a little worried on the chance of collapse on the Thunderbolt...What are your impressions on the elliptic wings?
It is a Thunderbolt 310. Flies absolutely beautifully in the air. Couple of close calls on the ground when it became unloaded briefly. It likes to be loaded up and quickly.
now ive stated looking at ppc vs ppg, i really like ppg but a lot of people seem to go with ppc over it for safety in crashes. i could always get a trike or quad if i got a ppg tho.
Do you ever get involved in the fly-ins? We have 2 each year in Iola, KS. If your ever out this way look it up and drop a line. I'm still with out my own rig but enjoy watching every out there.

Don't believe everything you hear. They don't like strong winds.

This was very motivational to me. I'm thinking of getting a PPC for myself. One of the greatest videos that I've seen on Youtube.

Life is a risk, my friend. Besides, no guts, no glory. Do NOT try this at home.

Very beautiful scenery & nicely done video.
ALTHOUGH...you're quite a brave soul flying at that altitude in that terrain. What to do in case of power loss?
