Thank you for the horse pics and flute music. The first non-profit organization I ever gave money to, when I was only a child, was the American Horse Association. Their mission was to preserve wild horses and burros. The organization is gone and so are wild horses in America.

Very beautiful. I fell in love with the sound of the Native American flute the first time I heard a rivercane flute being played by my friend Billy Whitefox. He showed me a bit about how the fute works and I began my journey learning to make these wonderful instruments. A few weeks ago, I heard they were rounding up the wild horses in and around Oklahoma, I believe and the states surrounding. They better not do another major slaughter like the U.S Government has done before back in the old times of cavalry. Damn bitches. I understand population control, but horses aren't predators. They don't eat little children like cats ie: Cougar, mountain lion. xD Leave the horses alone...sheesh.

@BluesMamaRaven though I'm not well versed in these things, there was an interesting article in national geographic a while back about the BLM and siphoning off some wild horses, it's the same for other large land mammals, with few or no natural predators, depending on the situation, and country we, i.e. humans need to step into the gap and provide population management for their long term welfare....

The slaughter of domestic and wild American horses for foreign markets has been going on for many decades. In 2008 the last U.S. slaughter house was finally closed but now horses are shipped to Mexico and Canada for slaughter to foreign markets. Double decker semi transports of horses was banned in 2007 but illegal transport continues. There was a major accident in Illinois using a illegal double decker in 2008. Many horses died. I wish my mustang could have been left alone in her wild lands. She was already captured by the evil ones, for sale at a horse auction. Her buyers had to outbid the meatman. I have her here now at my home for less than 24 hours,she will never be really free again. I recorded and played this song for her and she liked it!
