This brings back memories--back in my grade school years, up late with my brother & mom (dad was away at work) watching this. We didn't have cable tv then, just off-air channels, so this was our MTV, it's how I got my fill of music from the pop scene then.
Had to be after 83 if there's a clip from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun... pretty cool intro, though I probably wasn't born yet.
