@fluffybananacake technically, Air Canada doesn't own ERJs. they have Embraers (which I probably spelled wrong), not ERJs. the Embraer Regional Jet is the Embraer version of the CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet).
its so much fun flying first class air canada the seats are phenominal and so comfertable especially since you get the tv`s on the back of the seats :)
the 777-300er in flight airshow map has a glitch in the software. alot of the time it will tell you the feature is not currently availible. you have to exit the entertainment menu and go back to the language slection and then it work. It's a glitch in the software and it needs fixing
@LTV249 no, it's air canada, you know why? Because the first class seats are EXACTLY like Air Canada, It looks like Air China cause of all the Chinese people, but it's a flight for Hong Kong.
it would make more sense to use multiple boarding bridges for each door of the airplane according to wear they are seated. I see using only bridge slow. that would reduce cue sizes and improve effciency. One of the reasons i always choose a window seat is i can take my time when exiting the airplane and don't have to stand up immediately to let the person out next to me. WIndow seats make the most sense to me
great thing about being a pilot is you get paid to work and fly over the whole world and see quite alot but not necessarily in great detail as you would on the ground whilst paying for ur house . think about people who work on the ground who work long hours to pay for a home they actually spend little time in when actually working that just sits wasted. I see that as one of the reasons that make this one of the best jobs in the world. many people just work to pay for ther homes.
I have been on 3 ac flights and none of the tv's gps's worked. also on one of the flights, my screen froze. Besides that, the meals were excellent for airplane food. Lamb and mint calzone, whitefish and rice, are just a couple things we had. And on my flight form Toronto to Zurich Switzerland, we were given 3 meals. Ear phones, pillow, blanket, pop, coffee, juice, newspapers were all free. Staff are fantastic. Friendliest out of all airlines Iv'e flown with. coffee is second cup, which is great.
I'am going to fly Air Canada in June from LHR to CLT, with Connection in Toronto, I'am going to fly the 777-300ER, and the CRJ-200 JAZZ. Can't wait, oh and the return flight wil be on a A330 :D Can't wait to fly for 7hrs
340's have been replaces with the 777's and have been leased out/sold. I think some of the shorter haul (a320's) flights have the XM interiors in first class.
No. CRJ-705 E175 E190 A319 A320 A321 A330-300 B767-300ER B777-200LR B777-300ER all of those have PTV's with AVOD. only the Jazz Dash-8-100, Dash-8-300 and CRJ-100/200 don't.
@102shauna Most AC aircraft have new Project XM interiors with PTV's and AVOD except 4 of 30 Boeing 767-300Er's have overhead video. Air Canada Jazz Bombardier CRJ-705's have AVOD as well for all classes.
@102shauna Well it depends. If you're asking about "Air Canada" aircraft, then yes, they have all been retrofitted at this point with the upgraded entertainment package. If you're including Air Canada Jazz, their regional air carrier, then no, not all aircraft include this package.
@102shauna dont now if your ever going to check this comment cause you asked this question a year ago hahah but i work for Air Canada, and most or basically all of our flights have TV's on our planes.
okay. but maybe they dont fly the 777-200 to montreal. i know they have a flight from TO to montreal with the 300 series. Im 100% sure i flew with AC on 777-200. I flew it 2x. check their website.
i've flown air canada several time and it was pretty decent. i'll admit the food was crap, but how many airlines have great vegetarian food anyways. i'll let it slide
@luischamp14 Ugh, I would have to disagree. I actually once got off of an AC flight and onto a delta flight and the whole atmosphere is just awful. I don't know why people take such offense with Air Canada but maybe you should open your eyes. They easily have one of the best products on the market. As an example, on a recent flight in economy on AC they treated a guy behind me to a beer which normally you would pay for, then gave him a free replacement when he spilled it. Now that's service.
i live in denmark and i am going to going to canada ..
so i was wondering if what u can do in thoose screens behind the seats.. im basicly asking because its a loong flight and so i dont get bored and my dad snores verry badly... so can u watch movies on them and can u play games or anything? please reply :)
that was the longest flight in my life. how did you survive that trip for like 15 hrs? It was a cool flight but boy.. i cant even walk out properly from the airplane.
I fly Continental's Newark to Hong Kong nonstop flight a lot, which is a comparable 15-16 hours. After doing it several times you get used to it. Just sleep a lot (if you can), and the flight passes by quickly. Having AVOD entertainment helps too. If anything, now that I'm used to these long flights, all other shorter ones seem VERY short! LOL
I flew AC last year and foods, drinks, everything was free. maybe you're talking about domestic. International flights have free foods and drinks. In fact, for a 15 hour flight, they give you 3 meals + 1 snack throughout the flight.
No. But I've heard from my friend its a good airline. Of course, you can't compare AC with Emirates coz Emirates is a high-class airline. But again. AC is not the "shittiest" airline as you once said.
Maybe the service was bad on your flight but my exp. with AC was better. I've flown on different international airlines and AC is not that bad as you think. Anyways, I apoligize if i misinterpreted you. Peace...
I've seen your profile and it seems that you just don't like Canada. I don't blame you for that. But I bet you just say Air Canada sucks coz you don't like the country, even though i'm pretty sure you haven't flown on any of their fleets.
wow... that sux!!! u guys must be "dead" by landing... before CX's flight to HKG was using A343 via ANC, and it was like hell... flight delay was one problem the other problem is that the aircraft seats sucks, plus the 1 hour fuel stop became 15 hours when we have a bird strike during landing!
i love ac how their flight departing time and arrival time for flights between HKG and YYZ.
u woke up in the morning, and the flight takes off at 9:00, then u guys arrival at 14:00 in HKG, which u go home and eat dinner and u can goto sleep. the other way is the same thing but take off in the afternoon, and still arrival in the afternoon in YYZ since the flight time difference. then same thing u can go to sleep immedaitly.
not 777-200, but 777-200LR...long range...big difference between the two. But thanks, I've always wanted to see the inside of the air Canada 777-200LR..i've only seen been inside the a330 and a320 since the routes i've flown, air canada doesn't use the 777 on them.
I hate the way you have to walk through First/Business class on your way to econ.!!it's a bit like the look at you saying ha! you can't afford this. nice video.

I think it is business class. It seems to be based on the Virgin Upper Class layout with the "window" seats facing inwards away from the windows.
I hate this layout. If I choose a window seat I want to be able to look out the window without having to do a Linda Blair impersonation.
The layout reminds me a hospital ward.

not 777-200, but 777-200LR...long range...big difference between the two. But thanks, I've always wanted to see the inside of the air Canada 777-200LR..i've only seen been inside the a330 and a320 since the routes i've flown, air canada doesn't use the 777 on them.
