Tupac is a person who saw a lot of ugly in life & a lot of it just happened to be at the hand of white Americans. He didn't hate white people. He was just disappointed in his own Black people for allowing certain unfairness to go on and then turn a blind eye to it. He wanted Blacks to unite & stop trying to be accepted by whites. @YTPROFESSOR I would like to add that his being killed by other Blacks only prove what I said in my comment about the video. Blacks are still afraid to acknowledge the truth and people like you are always saying things like 'he's stupid,' or 'he's prejudice,' to throw Black people off. It's just an extension of the Willie Lynch syndrome. Fear that is all it involves. Tupac only made observations as to life's injustices and if you can't see it you are either blind or a part of the problem.

His comments about 'thug life' are as a metaphor for the current derogatory state/position of Black Americans (young urban males in particular) and the media's perception of them.
