  • コスプレだけしてなさい。愚か者に武道をする資格はない。

  • this is all show no respect for traditional martial arts, theres a story, Oyata Seiyu (taika) sensei, my master, was still training, a fellow student was kicked from the dojo and no longer allowed to teach, taika was ordered by his master Nakamura Shigeru sensei to retrieve his degree, taking only one of his students, an american blackbelt, taika walked to the dojo and told the american to wait at the door, taika walked in interrupted a class full of blackbelts and simply took the degree back

  • @ethan38lax with no fuss,Taika later became the founder of my martial art ryu kyu kempo, heres another ex, my dojo creed - i come to you in peace, offering friendship and respect, i have trained my mind, body, and spirit in the ancient warrior ways of the masters who have gone before me. I bind my self by their code of non violence. If, however, you choose to raise your hand against me, know that i will use all my resources to protect myself and those i love, i hope our way can be one of harmony

  • What da hell ! I will send my kids there, which school will train them like that. I NEED a name.

  • I bet that these competitions give a lot of material for videogame designers (those that made mortal combat, Street fighter and so on)

  • 2:25 RUFIOOOOOOO.....RU...FI....OOOOOO

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT PART OF THE COUNTRY THIS EVENT WAS HELD ? WHAT SCHOOLS WERE INVOLVED, ETC, ETC,....???...I WOULD THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT....

  • I am a lifelong martial artist, but....sometimes I wish I could break dance. Nah, I'll just watch the girls dance.

  • Great

  • amazing...fantastic perfomances...keep going on...

  • 4:24 that flip kicked ass.

  • all I see is dudes dancing and jumping around. They couldn't harm an the average man. .

  • @tipsy3T So, your saying you, (as an average man), can not be harmed in any way by these highly skilled martial art fighters? Well, i guess its a lot different on video as to the distance between them and the camera. There movements sure look a little slow, but fast as hell when your striking distance away. And the "dancing" not only prevents you from harming them let alone getting close them, cant even get a single hit in. It must be really easy to type that when your behind a computer screen.

  • @AvalonAmv yeah ok rofl.

  • Is it cause i'm high, or does this video have some type of 3D effect? There's an blue/red after shadow of all moviements. >.>

  • At 6:58 there's Scream in the audience!!!

  • This is a disgrace.

  • I believe.. old warriors and swordsman study or invented such like this style like dancing or gymnastics.. i think mastering this arts made their opponents much scared and perplexed.. i think its an advantage than using normal sword skills.. and i also think having a deadly weapon while performing dangerous stunts requires years of practice and mastery.

  • That sword is suppose to hold the soul of a warrior! What has the tools of the old, and greatest, forms of war been reduced to? A Child's Play Toy?

  • no wonder people rather go to training mma stead of this whatever the hell this is!!!!

  • bullshit nothing but gymnastic!!!!

  • not impressive, they fight invisible opponents.

and the kid with sword, your sword is lightweighted.

  • For anyone actually interested in martial arts Dave Lowry is a very good writer.

  • This is why Americans can't have nice things...

  • stupid

  • I wanna see a free for all with all these people lol..

  • DOUBLE TWIST... OH TRIPLE!!! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN... ITS SOO BEAUTIFUL

  • i perfomed here last night and got 1st place the trofy is bigger than me

  • one of them should do it to the song don't stop believing

  • This contains hours and hours of training. But in fact regarding nnunchakus... they has max 50 grams. That is why they spin them so fast... with 450 that isn posible... and if it were, those boys wouldnt be there anymore :)

  • This isnt martial arts. Use this and i bet youd lose against Kendo or Escrima or what not. But as a ritual performance this shit is awesome and every single one of these people have to have good coordination/be freaking athletic so imho these guys would def be better martial artists than most people on youtube...

  • Cool but not True.

  • Why is it that when I watch this, I can't help but think "Gun beats sword."?

  • These guys are great dancers!!! Why are they not in Step up 3D??

  • This is like Cheerleading meets Overly-enthusiastic anime fans...

Things like this make me ashamed to be American. We take beautiful martial arts and turn it into processed shit. We might as well be shitting directly onto Asia if we're doing this to their martial arts.

  • Sword dancing take lots of practice, but using a sword use with your mind

  • What if the sword slips off their hands??

  • @jimo1150 they get disqualified from getting 1st place, but they get to continue.

  • @jimo1150 Hell

  • Afro ninja!!

  • What!?!? TRIPLE!

  • lemme kno when you can use this kinda shit against a bullet to your head.. jus sayin.. btw the one faggot looks like roofio off off that movie hook at 2:42

  • lemme kno when you can use this kinda shit against a bullet to your head.. jus sayin.. btw the one faggot looks like roofio off off that movie hook

  • These guys played Mortal Kombat for too long, and they thing no one could beat them up... But in real fight they can only do a harakiri if they have a bit of luck...

  • Tricking is like freerunning.

  • Big ups to 4:40!

  • The black dude is incredibly skilled! I wouldn't like to meet him in a fight xD! And then the first guy is also incredible, and the one with the staff!

  • @Erupted89 I agree, "black dude" was the baddest mofo.

  • its interesting, but I would have to say that there is little if any martial art involved...hats off to the performers though...lots of endurance

  • horrible song.

  • i dont care if its dance or martial art :) this one is so cool! hehe

  • after watching steve all the rest look like wimps.

  • Nice haircut

  • Wow, there is about 10 kinds of awesome in all that, i only have 1 question. Could any of those guys do any of that in full period armour?

  • I cant believe there's so many stupid people in the world... why so many people think this is actual martial arts? -.- its a fucking form!!!! a demostration! a dance! a show off!! goddanm!

  • haha this video its funny in a real battle those idiots would be the firsts deads on the field

  • nothing scares the shyt out of me more than a black guy that knows martial arts.

  • @raymundflores Strong as bull plus know how to use his strength. Better pick your ak47.

  • very nice kathas ........ nice

  • very impressive but would like to see these guys in a real fight or even in the octagon!

  • everyone that hasnt done martial arts or tricking before needs to shut up, no this is not dancing this it XMA. martial artists can do this, dancers that have no martial arts background have alot of trouble doing it. so if your not a marial artist or tricker SHUT UP YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

  • SO FRECKING PRO BREAK DANCERS NO JKING IM SERIOUS SO PRO SKILLS

  • i new tat first guy was steve from quest crew

  • dancing gimnastics or martial arts??

  • THAT IS CRAZY 6:59

  • If any of you haters of tricking have ever even tried tricking, you will quickly realize that one needs a good basis in formal martial arts training. The tricking moves are built upon moves taught in taekwondo, karate and kung fu. Thus to be a good tricker means that one must have deep experience in formal martial arts. THOSE WHO CAN, DO. THOSE WHO CAN'T, CRITICIZE.

  • @trogdorfiend : That doesn't make this a martial art, and not dancing. Just because sometime is based off another thing, doesn't make it THAT thing.

  • @Halofreakanoid this is called kattha. every student hv to learn and practice it regular. it's not dance it is how to improve one's skills .

  • @ravinderkhatri1 : Improve skills with what exactly? It doesn't matter what the name of it is, you flipping around doing martial-arts-LIKE things to the rhythm to music. That's called dancing. Just cause the tango and break dancing have different names, doesn't make them not dancing. I'm sure it can help you in terms of improving dexterity and reflexes FOR martial arts, but to say this IS a martial art is a serious disgrace. "Martial" means "having to do with war".

  • @Halofreakanoid -- these are counters. just look at the martial artists punches and kicks . it is taught to the student of martial arts. a students learns how to block the attack and how to attack on enemy. the music keep the them in rythem. these are very tough practices. if someone don't know these "DANCE in your language " , he or she can't fight.

  • @ravinderkhatri1 : I don't need to look up anything. I have already been taught what I need to know about this long ago, and if these are counters, they are not very effective ones. The footing is wrong, the momentum is always working against the person, and doing a break dance spin kick would never knock somebody over unless they had only one foot on the ground.

I have NEVER known a master of Kunjutsu, Taijutsu, or even Karate, that does this. They do other things, like training exercises.

  • @trogdorfiend

Agreed and well put, you know and understand the fundamental of Martial Arts and what it really mean

  • @trogdorfiend And when you get down off your soap box............

  • Much respect to such hard work to develop these skills. This entertainment is just that. Agree with Nikeboy. None of this represents combat. Doubt any of the weapons guys know what rebound is like from blocking another weapon or from hitting or cutting something or someone. Cool to watch, fatal for real.

  • These guys fail to realize, the very second your weapon leaves your hand, you're a dead man, and the more time you spend in the air, the more rapidly your move looses power making you vulnerable to a counter attack, this is why I dont do tournaments, i don't see any of these guys surviving a street fight .

  • @nikeboy82nd : That's because this isn't a martial art, it's dancing based off martial arts. Still dancing.

  • These guys fail to realize, the very second your weapon leaves your hand, you're a dead man, and the more time you spend in the air, the more rapidly your move looses power making you vulnerable to a counter attack, this is why I dont do tournaments, i don't see any of these guys surviving a street fight .

  • @nikeboy82nd I do not think this is how they would perform in a street fight. This is exhibition, showing of the finesse and comfort-ability with a chosen weapon.

  • It's basically gymnastic...lol.

  • I remember this is called American martial art tricks. It looks like gymnastic in the form of martial art with weapons instead of gym tools. I do like watching it 'cuz the moves are really nice. It's different from capoeira and wushu since capoeira and wushu got practical techniques to apply in real fight. However it's still a form of martial so who say it's not just don't get the purpose of it.

  • nice gymnastics and dance i guess but why are they wearing gi's :P

  • 44 people lost this competiton

  • KOOLEST

    WHITE KIDS

    EVER

  • ...and then I pull out my gun.

  • where are the asians?

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting....

  • You can't even call it extreme martial arts. They just train to handle the weapons with flair. I'm aware that it's not for combative purposes, all the more they should stick to pussycat dolls and balloons and not to demean the main use of these weapons. What do they know about art? Sure they have balance and agility but it's as good as spitting on their own abilities if they know not how to even use them in combat.

Btw techno music with martial arts = Live Anime?

    Extreme shit "dancing".

  • @Chequemayte yeah, i noticed.. i was wondering how the messy multiple slashes are gonna kill.. too many extra movements... then i read the comments and discover its actually an extreme dance sport.. pretty interesting tho..

  • the secret: PCP

  • Rufio! Rufio! RufioOooooooo!

  • the kid with the sword is awesome!!

  • Lol @ Terada on "Pump it"

  • not impressed with the gymnastics, but i still see alot of skill overall

  • that's not martial art !! -__- he fucking dance

  • @bem2511 Thank you For agreeing with me

  • @bem2511 so i guess you dont consider capoeira a martial art? or wushu?

  • @bem2511 ehst ever it is its fricken impressive !

  • @bem2511 But, i bet you they could take most people on without any problems at all

  • this is all choreographed. In a real fight, never ever toss you blade and try your best to keep you feet firmly planted on the ground. loose your weapon you die fast, loose you footing you die even faster because chances are, you will loose both.

it is in reality sports fighting. combat fighting has different form.

besides, samurai used a lot of jujitsu and grappling. they did not just focus on the sword

  • When martial arts disappear towards dancing and gym... when you only think about sport, that's what happens..

    Good work, but baby work

  • @MegaPouni Erm.. alot of martial arts were inspired by dance....

  • @theraga they are inspired by dance, but they're Not dance...this is a spectacular, excellent demo of coreography and phisics, but not a martial art

  • @ 2:45 *lets go* .....bankshot =P

  • Just loads of showing off useless skills to unfitting music.

  • ush aaaaaaa woooooooo aaaaagh uuusssssssshhhhhh aaaaaa oooooooo waaaagh :\

  • this is what you get when you force feed martial arts to a screaming cheerleader!!!!

  • the 1st one is steve terada of quest crew right?

  • putting kata to music moves this kind of event from the martial arts genre to aerobics

  • seriously what style of martial arts is this? i did taekwando and theres nothing close to what i've learned to this. ..is it karate? or..what?

  • @platinum17 XMA

  • @platinum17 Its more contemporary dance really.

  • @platinum17 martial arts mixed with "tricking" I think.

  • @platinum17 its gay sauckmydickdo style dude... :)

  • hi can you give me the names of the martial arts shown there because i am training 3 traditional japanese arts but i don't know the names of this thing here. and i have a word abut the hakama wearing it is something specialy divine and this gyus totaly dont deserve wearing it..

  • They are superb gymnast but I don’t know about their martial skill. They probably spent a year getting basics trough and then the rest of their training is fancy flips

  • @sonicflam they'd kick ur ass

  • @MrSamkojo how do you know

  • Comment removed

  • First kid with the sword was sick but I wouldn't be standing around him while he is flinging that thing around..lol

  • this fags cant hurt a fly.

  • wow!

  • wow its like a dance compatiotion for martial artist......how gay

  • impressive

  • This is dance NOT martial arts. In a real duel the dancer will lose due to being too technical with an open weak point. As for the weapons they are too lightweight to be near even real.

  • @009Callum no it is martial arts and in a real duel these guys would not be dumb enough to use this kind of dance. as for the weapons, they make it look light because they are so skilled with it.

  • I was a ref for TaeKwonDo a long time ago and the more I watch these vids the more I know I couldn't judge these events with any kind of objectivity. Too much of a traditionalist to even think about taking these events seriously. NO offense to the competitors.

  • is this capoeira, bboying, any number of 5 martial arts, or gymnastics, reminded me of an asian male version of the talent portion for a beauty pageant im confused to what kind of competition it is.

  • TROS SUPER °

  • Looks like he needs to be in a dance class and call it what it is. Please quit insulting martial artists with this stuff. This is not Martial Arts. This is a dance show. I bet this guy whines about how he doesn't want to get hit because it hurts. Give me a break. He probably would have been a great break dancer. LOL!!!!!!!!

  • @DCBAUGH

yes, definitely very high acrobatics and break dance skills!!! Speed and coordination are top! And the rest, well it is a totally different and modern form inspired by martial arts I would say. They sould use their skills for sports and dance!

  • yeah estaa bien shidoo

  • that first one was sooooo cool!!!!!! slooow mooootion!!!!! coooool! props!

  • dude charged up @ :16 . LOL

  • in the REAL WAR we need these all of skills, not one on one fight like MMA etc, and i believe one of these guys would kill any fighter from MMA,BJJ,karate, tkd,or whatever in a REAL FIGHT that mean no cage, reffere, judge and rules, because we need weapon in every situation, thats it!!!!

  • @ninjacleaner Be quiet, you don't know the true power of Karate, Taekwondo or Brazilian JiuJitsu. I agree MMA is a little weak in some areas, but those guys would get beaten up, if they ever fought a real Karate Ka. Taekwondo kicks are supreme if you train hard! And Brazilian JiuJitsu are deadly when you get down and grapple. So don't you think that they ever would stand a chance against one who masters all the arts!

  • @ninjacleaner A: Learn better English, please.

B: If he got to keep the sword when the MMA came after him barehanded, he might be able to kill him.

C: If the MMA guy had a sword too, but was untrained with it, it would be a roll of the dice, though I'd bet on the MMA guy because he didn't train to do the WRONG things in a sword fight.

  • @YeshuaChuy haha

A: why i need better english? i live in france bitch, soo why i need better english?? dumbass

B: you jealous because u are NOTHING, and you too old for this :D, soo just stay behind your computer desk.

C: look ryan gracie the great MMA warrior go to jail for stabbing an old man, thats silly, why he need knife? because MMA bare hand can't do nothing in the real situation.

  • I don't know why many people hate this. It would be like hating gymnastics in the Olympics. This is fun to watch. The creative forms are incredibly flashy and extreme and fun to watch. But I have to agree all of this flashy stuff is pretty useless, unless you've got kicked in the face by one of those spectacular 567838348 degree kicks they do. The only thing I don't like is the throwing katana shit, that'll be kinda retarded thing to do in a fight. Greetings from Mexico.

  • 1:43 my fav

  • bonjour jaime bien - tros super :-)

  • ah... weeaboos when they see way too much anime.

  • lol? this sure looks like dancing

  • haters gonna hate

  • what if the sword sliped out of his hand and killed someone would he get charged or is this place at peoples own risk????

  • i hate kids that train in martial arts just to show off try any pof that shit on bruce lee with nun chuks just saying

  • ATA is a joke

  • got to say they have some skills, as to actual combat, most martial arts are not geared toward combat , that doesn't mean some thing dont transfer over either way, just more of an art then a weapon.

  • *shoots gun* dead... lol.

  • Americans are great. new Martial arts have been created by the Americans. From Japan.

  • @flashpop69

but you do realise that what these guys are doing in the video is not martial arts? its a bit like hiphop only that it borrows more from oriental styles....

  • @TheNinerion its martial arts. Look it up. Its XMA (extreme MARTIAL ARTS) thats like saying an xbox isn't a gaming consoles.. which would make zero since, due to the fact that it plays video games. All these guys are black belts broski.

  • @flashpop69 you dont get it do you? the name itself makes it a laughing stock! extreme martial arts! my god that sounds so american! like burger king and McDonalds! I'm not saying that these people have no skill in what they are doing... its just that its not a martial art.... its a sport!

  • @TheNinerion This is a form of martial arts. Saying it is not just makes you sound ignorant. Just because it is more for show does not mean it is not a martial art.

  • @shinobiwarrior1990 Martial Art; martial means war; thus war art. If it's meant for show and not fighting, it's an expressive art. Dancing is expressive art in the form of body movement. This is dancing, not martial art. For the level of conditioning these guys have, an effective, efficient fighting form would have them kicking some serious ass. In reality, they'd have a tough matchup with a mean couch potato with some bar fighting experience. Thus their fighting form is inferior for combat.

  • @YeshuaChuy no not all martial arts are meant for war, for example, look at tai chi, alot of martial arts arnt meant for fighting, some of them are meant simply to strengthen the mind body and spirit instead of your skills as a direct fighter, im a martial artis myself but i preffer arts meant for war, i am a practitioner of genbukan ninjutsu, tkd, jkd, and shorin ryu karate but i still respect all of the different forms. If this makes any sense to you.

  • @flashpop69, what they are doing is an more art than martial. It's pretty and may serve some purpose in combat but the soul within the tradition of the art, I find, is missing.

  • @flashpop69 First allow me to point out that a black belt doesn't mean as much as it once did. Second, just because they're black belts doesn't mean they are good fighters. These are just gymnastics routines. I studied TKD for 10 years and competed for 3 in NASKA. I left the superficial creative forms junk behind and now I study Shotokan. It's a much more fulfilling pursuit than this flashyness imo.

  • @flashpop69 Yes, these guys are doing martial arts. absolutely. the only thing people fail to realize, is that martial arts has nothing to do with actual fighting lol. Most martial arts have absolutely no utility outside of a flamboyant art form used to pay homage to an actual battle. It's still wicked nonetheless, but people need to get over it. Having a black belt doesn't mean you can fight. just means you might win a medal at one of these things. Pointless..

  • i wonder...

imagine what could happen if the swords-guys mess up and the sword flips out if their hands

  • @Blazekickz not real swords? At least I hope so :D

  • is afro ninja at 6:45!

  • which one was this a.t.a extreme or n.a.s.k.a competition???

  • @NikLagua naska

  • what's the style of the boy with the Katana?! is it Kendo? he's so good

  • what? double twist?!..........Tripleeeeeeeeeeeeee!! D:

  • @ped9010 haha =) i was a lil kid then.

  • Maybe im a little slow but . . .what is this all about? What is the point in this? I mean. What are the rules or how do you get points? Im searious, i not looking for trouble or anything i just want to know.

Ps: I try cheking the website but my english isn´t good so i dont really understand some stuff

  • @Swordman0 You get points for the tricks along with coordination and proper form. Never stray from proper form even if your gonna be doing unrealistic flips n shit and youll be good. So its who can do the wildest stunts while maintaining perfect martial arts form will get the most points.

  • naruto hahahhaa

  • 1:42-2:25 Hitsugaya dyed his hair!

  • 3rd vid...I feel sorry for bullies that try and pick on the 'week looking long haired kid'. XD

  • ok.... now this is just sad, they sure have great skills and stuff, but seriously this is a mockery of what martial arts really are, im not saying im better than them or nothing, im, just saying that, they have no respect at all for the heart of martial arts, just sad

  • @allmighty069 or is it that they understand fully the heart of martial arts, your argument is almost like the liberal vs conservative one in that i meet people like you who never attempt to invent your own ways of doing martial arts because "the heart of martial arts" apparantly somewhere states that doing forms in slow motion without any tricks is the way to go. How do you know that hundreds of years ago when people used martial arts in life or death situations that they wernt flipping n shit.
