I haven't read the book yet but just by the way she speaks--her syntactical and diction usage is beautiful--throws my mind away. I need to buy the book NOW. Two thumbs up for Kao Kalia Yang. =] woohoo
i want the book so bad...but im very badluck id ont know where its sold at..i try looking for it......but i suck at it..good job..love your book kao kalia
The best book! If you do not read, you must force yourself to pick this one up because you will not regreat it! I have read it twice and still love it!
For my Asian-American course, one of the books that we have to study on is the latehomecomer by Kao Kalia Yang. From reading this book, I came to a realization that knowing about the past is a significant knowledge to obtain and securing that knowledge is something special for your own self individual.
This is just a fantastic video. I am gald to have watched it. I would like to see more gifted hmong writers to share not only their talents but also their stories of the hmong heritage to everyone around the world. I believe young writers such as Kao Kalia Yang have many words to share and dreams to tell. I am happy to see that ethnic groups such as the Hmong are growing in numbers to invite others to understand their culture.
where can i get the book?

I was blessed enough to meet Kao Kalia in person and attend one of her speeches. She is a great inspiration in the Hmong community.
