That was brill, i was there at grand canal. I just relived the moment, my father was a big gilbert fan all his life and was so looking forward to going and seen him, sadly my father past away two months before this show with a battle of cancer. So we went in his memory even though we are still fans, we went as a whole family and loved the show and will be back next time round. R.I.P Christy Gannon.

Yes, this is a shameless plug but it might answer a few questions you have about the man beneath the hair but we've just finished making a documentary following Gilbert over the course of 18 months touring and recording a new album.

It is screening in the IFI in Dublin as part of the Stranger Than Fiction film festival on Friday evening and Gilbert will be there to answer some questions as well.

It will then being broadcast on RTE ONE on Tuesday, April 20th at 10:15.
