Where in the Bible does it say that we are to have food pantry's, serve the homeless, etc..... There are many scriptures that speak of caring for folks but it is those who have no family... the widows, etc. I have been reading the comments on here and it's a shame that people are so judgmental. we are not to judge.... if you people would put as much effort into winning souls as you do bashing people on here, you might actually be successful according to the word of God.

I'm not weathly - but if you give like the Bible says in Tithing and Offerings to the church and pastor - You will be blessed. The poor stay poor because of poor money management. However - we need to get our eye off men and on to God. By envying them and having ill will toward them, you can be lost yourself. Nothing more important than your own soul being saved!

I am a teacher that was not contracted due to budget... my husband lost his job after being confined to a wheelchair 80% of the time. We used all of our savings up to live on. We are now staying with my husband's mother until a spot opens up in public housing, filing for disability social security for my husband and I work for $7.25 and hour. Your remarks are hurtful and hateful.

Do not assume that you have all of the answers... sometimes the answer is "NO" which we are experiencing right now. But... we are stronger in our faith than we were when this all started.
