It does look good, but let's face it, he's a volume shooter with a low %. When you have that much selection, you're bound to have a decent library of shots to shoot from (with more of him missing).
Its also funny that this is considered so beautiful, but he is criticized for taking those exact jumpshots as he doesn't drive as much.

obviously i see that you haven't read what i said. I said "So when Kobe was averaging 30+ ppg POST-SHAQ PRE-GASOL" and at that time yes, Kobe was carrying the team. Even if you include Odoms 16 ppg it wouldnt matter it was all Kobe just like it was all Lebron. If you can honestly sit there and say Lebron James doesn't carry the team I dont think you know basketball. It does look good, but let's face it, he's a volume shooter with a low %. When you have that much selection, you're bound to have a decent library of shots to shoot from (with more of him missing).
Its also funny that this is considered so beautiful, but he is criticized for taking those exact jumpshots as he doesn't drive as much.

Sure, KB has the ring. Well deserved. But let's face it, the Bigs bailed him out BIG. He shot his usual career 46%. There was nothing overly spectacular from KB. Look at the efficiency of even Bynum (not to mention Odom and esp Gasol). And true, LB, can't say much except for better back up his little 'run home with the ball' stint' next year.

This year he shot 47% and.But for his career he shoots 45% which isn't "low".FG% is somewhat overrated.Let's say I shoot 20 shots and make 10.That's 50%.Let's say I shoot 20 shots and make 9.That's 45%.Do you get the point?Here is other people who also shoot 45% or lower for their career but don't get the "Kobe" treatment:

Ray Allen
Glen Rice

That's still a difference of 56 baskets made for the season (110pts). That's the difference between winning that extra game(s) or not and getting that homecourt advantage. Lucky the leage still 'sucks' as Clv can't even get to the Finals and LA has it.
When you grow up, small % points DO matter, you'll realize that someday. And someone like Ray Allen.. that dude has has shot 64% more 3s yet is still close. No competition.

If KB shot that many, he would have 35% FG. Also in the playoffs, where games are often decided by a point or two, that FG% matters even MORE. KB needs a high % big man to make up for it. And if you shoot less then your team's FG, you're taking away from it (as KB often has) = more losses.
This is mainly a response to those KB nutsuckers who act like he has the greatest most beautiful and accurate jumpshot. If they made a vid of Pierce, sure, the same thing. Its ugly.
