    it was a sleeved block engine is in a prelude now going to shoot for 600 but not my car though. wiseco's if it were still mine i'd run with some CP's

  • @jared50438 from memory CPs have to be custom ordered for the H22. wiseco has them ready to ship

  • @eg6jarhead Mahles are good if you want to still use the FRM Sleeves and the stock H22A Head is capable of handling BIG power (600Whp) when tuned right. Its all in the tune.

  • it had 1000's and i maxed them out, on e85 it requires a lot more fuel, i never got to the track with it much. just a few times and broke an axles once then then put in dss 5.9's on 26" slicks it needed to dial it in with the suspension and bars, would have been 10's easy and still a nice street car. i got bored and didnt want to take the next step, which was add a lot of fuel and a doxbog, and since i paid for this on my own i wasnt going to take the step haha so now i have a turbo s2000.

    i have a similar goal. i have a Walbro 255 and bosch 1000cc injectors. built type-r block and b16 head. but my goal is 600HP on 93.

    someone told me that in 96 they changed to obd2.

    but i thought it would not matter because its a COMPLETE swap.

    an obd1 will work you have have to mess with more wiring.

  • check ur ecu. if the car is ob2 then u can convert the h22 to obd2 status. or just call up hasport racing and get the obd adapter. trust me its well worth the money then fucing with the wireing

  • whatever mounts you get, how cheap you can get an engine and tranny, all in all for nice parts you are looking at about 3500 or so depends on header and all the bolt ons you want.

  • Depends on what car you're putting it into. But a little advice - try looking for an 80k or less mileage Prelude that's been wrecked from the back or something like that. You can buy the car for peanuts and have almost all the parts you need right there.

  • i was going to use it to get more HP and mainly use it for spool-up my car hooked fine in 2nd with slicks and its been at the track quite frequently. i have no use for the nitrous for street use. and the car has been torn down again.

  • umm its all in the tune,and what size turbo you use. and compression and all of that. the block is pretty tough but the frm bore is junk, you cant run a forged piston in it.

    no engine is going to just break and 10 or 15 or 22 psi.

    how much can an h22 block handle? From my research i know a gsr can handle 10psi on a stock engine correct? so my guess is that an
