The piston which acts as the pump has two pipes coming out of it, one acting as the inlet, the other acting as the outlet, depending on direction of rotation of course.
These two pipes are connected to the red hoses which go to the top and bottom tanks.
The boiler that the piston is sat on also has a pipe so when connected to one of the piston pipes via a small hose the water can be pumped in or out of this as well. The level of water can be seen on the site glass.

Unfortunately I only built one off's.
The pump is easy to make as it is a mamod piston with two new pipes soldered onto it.
