  • so much for you get what you pay for.!

  • Same problem here. Second mixer. Now working with the third crossfader. Just received it and it started bugging again...damn shame.

  • D.2 are the worst mixer in the world....aka Blaze

  • hai messo i jack al contrario

  • does this problems apears on d.4 pro?

  • who would have thought DJ'ing was soooo technical

  • just clean your crossfader !

i have this mixer too and have no probleme if i put it in a clean area .. clean your room, dont smoke near the mixer, and clean it with cotoon

  • Ive done this and it seems to work...however. Being that I work in a Bar...smoking is a major problem. And cleaning the crossfader is only a temporary solution. I cannot clean the fader mid show. Now I have a problem with the right channel sending out a clipping white noise for now damn reason. I could have the sound completely cut off from the channel with the gain all the way to 0 and it muted and it will still clip the Master sound.

  • Ive decided to just throw this mixer away and buy a new one. Mackie is being great and sending me new mixers but this is my fourth one and it is still a piece of garbage. I work in a bar where smoking is allowed. I can't clean the crossfader mid show. I'll just buy a better mixer.

  • ok, maybe you have to put a filtering system in the event of the cf like numark cf, i understand your live session problem but its not really a mackie issue, you may have this problem on other optical hardware, try the rane ttm56 mixer, its magnetic !!

  • I was thinking the same thing, buy a better mixer...I've bought 1 before, the next day it gave me problems; and yes it was the crossfader.. Either the rane ttm 56 or the pioneer djm 909. I have both of them. Got the 909 2yrs. ago an the rane last year. Trust me, you'll love them both...aka Blaze

  • This mixer is junk, I promise you. Why does he need to clean a cross fader on a $700 mixer? If I am in the business for cleaning cross faders than I would get a cheap mixer and save $600.

  • your comment is just a joke

  • Glad you find it amusing. I wished I would have felt the same way when my Mackie D2 pro's fader did this same exact thing 2 hours before my gig. I returned it and got a TTM56. One of the main reasons was after I saw all these postings about it on youtube. Why do you think my comment is just a joke by the way?

  • i have never clean my cross cauz it doesnt work, it was just a comment, its my second d2 ( first one have been destroy by a huge amount of electricity ), and no of both have problem, it may a fault serie in the production, like all the NEW product, dont forgot that the rane is an old mixer, so the construction process is clear ..

  • It has potential to be a great mixer because it has a few unique features that no other battle mixers have, but they simply skimped out on all the three faders, which is kind of important being that it's a battle mixer. They need to go back to the drawing board and MUST change 3 obvious things if they're selling this thing at 700 bucks.

  • Yea this is my second one and it does the same thing.

  • Here is a stupid suggestion... Is the CF Slope set to reverse?

  • No. Its not set in reverse. You would have saw a huge red dot below the main volume led's. It only happens when It warms up and when im scratching alot.

  • Yea i did that. It works for a short period of time. But this mixer was less than 2 months old and i don' think something that young and expensive should function like that.

  • dissamble xfader and clean optical sensor and mirrors. My American q-5mk2 have identical problem ! Is very easy repair !
