Great to see and hear this; I had the pleasure of working with "LJ" for 2 years in the early '80's in El Paso, Texas. Talk about an education; LJ IS the teacher!
I "grew up" going to the Lobby Bar in Juarez, Mexico to hear Long John. He'd go there after doing his early night gig at the King's X in El Paso where we were too young to go in (21 age limit in Texas). But in Juarez they'd serve anybody. Long John is the blues.
@TexasPlayboy49 Went to the Lobby Bar many times... Started going there when I was 12! Times were different then. It was a crazy beautiful time. Long John played and the recent boot camp grads from Ft Bliss would fight. It was great!
I am trying to locate anyone that played with LJH in Juarez or El Paso around 1964 or 1965?

I used to see Long Jon at the Lobby when I was in High School (Andress) in the early 60's. Wasted youth? I don't think so!!

Hey Texas - wow - that was back then, wasn't it. What a fun hole in the wall that place was:) LOVED IT.
I think Long John is so underrated - gosh why he didn't make it huge I don't get.
