@jagriff333 I wasn't stating that I thought this looked easier, I was annoyed that I didn't have any check points. I ended up picking up 1 checkpoint near the house with the dead cows, after the barn, from there used 2 airstrikes on the guys that come up the stairs, into the building that you recommend, a further 2 airstrikes then I jumped over the railing, used 1 more airstrike then ran to the end..... at last!

Would it be better to start running for the LZ straight after you destroy the tanks? Because every second counts on veteran :/ I tried hiding in the little cabin thing next to the barn for a while but it messed up my checkpoint, Im having to restart the whole level.

From the barn with the Javelin: Kill anyone in the shed to the right and run through the field at the back exit of the shed. Then keep going until you reach a tree just past the house before the slope. It should checkpoint, then run towards the road, you will see a line of enemies walking off to the right. One of them will attack you, just kill him. Then run to the house directly in front of you and wait in the room with the bell for your other teammates. Do this similar method until the end. :D

Veteran really isn't that hard, you just have to TAKE COVER. It's not like Recruit or Regular where u can just sprint, shoot,sprint some more and be over with the mission. You have to take advantage of your time, TAKE COVER, and kill as many enemies as possible. Most people just try to run for it, which doesn't help at all. You have to take cover, kill the enemies, and don't die.

at the very first part before you go to the mini gun i like to go up in the church tower. there are tons of RPG's up there and u can just fire down on the guys. then there is also a sniper up there if you like to snipe

I planted some claymore around the church at the start of level. I guess people normally forget about them but they can pick off some unsuspecting enemies and save some trouble for the minigun part. You are powerful enough to survive the downhill part by just shooting and sprinting but others should be aware that airstrikes are available.

i hope i can beat this level now this guide was pretty good. it seems like you went right. i also do. but more guys keep spawning. :( o well ill try again tomorrow. and an idea for the snipe level. when u at the wheel, set him down at the marked spot, then run very quickly to where the main bad guys come from. just keep going and there is like an open room where u can snipe them from when they come to get you. once the choppa gets there the bad guys more focus on the heli troops then u

There r checkpoints. the part where u get the close air support is where i am stuck. i either (a) die or (b) run out of time i am on the vet. diff. and to answer the guys question about the mission where u carry the sniper set him down hide while he kills then pick him up and move along slow and carefully.

nice vid, this is hilarious because i couldnt beat it, and b4 seeing this vid, its like "okay, just look for a way around the enemy" which makes sense I guess.

In CoD4 its like they try to mix a lot of you forcing your way through the enemy head on, and other times like in Heat, take the path of least resistance, because you are trying to escape, not take on the entire army.

At the beginning you can also go up into the church tower, theres about 7 RPGs and give you a good view, but when you're on the minigun you will notice that it gets destroyed

You might not get the checkpoint if you dont take the time the kill the enemy on your rout. And the first time is always the hardest. i did this map on veteran like few weeks ago again, and it was alot more easyer.

I think ALL games of FPS nature should have a AUTO LOCK ON! I am so glad that the CoD have this (as well as many other games). For the MP portion of games, it wouldn't be cool, but for SP, it's the best and really, really helps.
