taking advantage is not "changing the circumstances". taking advantage is capitalising on a mistake. like if a striker is in an offside position, but a defender passes the ball back to the keeper then the striker can TAKE ADVANTAGE of the mistake and score. the striker didnt "change" the path of the ball or anything else. you use YOUR words properly.
