Why didn't they protect the girl in the first place by taking her and her friend away from the situation? She clearly was terified of that group of youngsters, she asked for help, stood close to them but still those assholes did nothing. They could easely have walken away WITH the girl, making sure she was safe and called the police while doing so, to make sure she was safe OUTSIDE the compound too.
