  • I wish we could stop world racism the world would truely be a better place aswell as stop all dictatorship and religions who appose freedom and the right to follow other faiths. and the right not to follow any. your video, your video has an important message and should have more view numbers. racism exists in all races and countries . so lets not just blame the white guy lol and lets stop making excuses and start making solutions to overcome our imaturities

  • and also dont harbour hatred and ill feelings over what one culture or race did to yours in historic eras . michael jackson once said ,he was color blind .

  • Zennie, you should, maybe, disable the commenting on this video and all your videos alike. You have something to say that is of great value and I think most of the people who comment are missing the point. There's just too much arguing going on about this and that and most of it is impertinent to your cause. Let them waste their time and beliefs in another forum.

  • biddipp boo bop. biddip boo bop. biddip boo bop. biddip boo bop. biddip WHAT IS. boo bop THE MYSTERY. biddip OF THIS. boo bop GREAT MYSTERY?.... biddip boo bop. biddip boo pop. biddip boo bop....

  • mark456m - "...Lets ban all religions and we shall have peace"

thank you. if the world distroyed religion, ended racism, stopped all wars, and paid back depts, the earth will then, and only then begin to profit for everyone and not to its distruction.

  • How does that make sense when our notions of goodness came from the principles taught to us by religions?

  • Good on ya Zennie for bringing this important message to the forefront. Regardless of race, we are all human beings. It makes me sick to think of the things that have been done to minority races in the past. I, for one, am not the least bit racist and I support harmony amongst all people. I have friends who are Asian, African American, Caucasian, Middle Eastern, European, Australian, East Indian, and they are all amazing, brilliant people. We are all the same.

  • Sorry my brother but the day racism will end is the day we are all dead. Simple as that.

  • no, you are wrong. people just need to be educated, that's they key to ending racism. it's people like you who keep the flame burning. even when it's low, you find a way to say that something won't end when we all know damn well we have the potential to end anything wrong in the world because It's All OUR FAULT. WE CAUSE THE WORLD HATE AND HUNGER AND SHIT. WE can PREVENT it. And STOP IT. SIMPLE AS THAT. EDUCATE YOURSELF.

  • Educate myself on what? That the white race will forever be the dominating one? And that after hundreds and thousands years of oppression minorities are supposed to forgive them and educate themselves instead about them? No thanks. When you bring a child into this child the only true essential thing worth teaching him/her is how to survive peacefully on this doomed planet.

  • "the white race will forever be the dominating one" you are giving up on your right for equality. I don't support the weak minded. "supposed to forgive them and educate themselves" YES! FORGIVENESS! it's a waste of time hating people who no longer exist, those are the white people's ANCESTORS. they can't be judged for what ancestors did. would you want to be judged for something that you didn't do, on behalf of your stupid ancestors?

  • and like I said, THE ONLY DAMN REASON this planet is "Doomed" is because of people like you who continue on this fiasco of wasting your time trying to fight for something that doesn't need fighting for anymore. RACISM could be so EASY to erraticate, but it's people who continue to HOLD ON to their anger and rage and hate like you who keep it going. all this NEGATIVITY is surfacing because of IGNORANT people. UNDERSTAND NOW?

  • What differs todays generation of white folks thinking then it was lets say not long ago in the 1950's and 60's? Back then people were straight-forward with it when they saw someone "different". Today racism is still cruel but in a subtle way. You do get my point. Nothing has changed really. And no Mr. Lee you shouldn't see me as the bad guy in this case. I'm just someone who's cutting the disregarding bullshit and talking about real equality. Do to others what others do to you, get my drift?

  • "do to others what others do to you" I don't believe in that. That's called YOU CAN'T FORGIVE. just try it! yeah it wasn't too long ago. but there are a lot of good people out there flawless, I should know I was raised in what some would call the "ghetto" I got an education and now RACISM doesn't exist to me. The only reason racism continues is because children learn the shit you say to further convince yourself and they take that with them, that being different is enough to inflict hate.

  • what would you doing to them what they did to you do to help the END of racism? NOT A DAMN THING!!!! do YOU understand? You are continuing this by even suggesting such a scheme. A Lot of things have changed. people do what the fuck they want now, i think that's what scares you the most, we aren't being racist, we are acknowledging our differences and trying to learn about one another. it's not the SAME anymore. you just don't know how to let go of shit. Your Generation may feel the same........

  • Let's just that my generation has been there, experienced that, yours hasn't. If you want to be naive and go on defending the white hypocrisy, fine. I couldn't care less you are just one in a billion out there thinking everything is alright. "Put a happy smile to my queer face and everybody would accept me totally for who I am". It's not like that really. As I said, racism has lost it's honesty but not its dignity. It's still here, that's why.

  • YOUR GENERATION has been there. SIMPLE POINT I WAS MAKING. WITH YOUR GENERATION STILL influencing us as a younger less discriminatory generation what makes you think racism will continue! I WONDER WHY we still have bigots like you pleading for us to assume we don't know everything there is to know about racism when these days people could give a fuck less. I'm ending this because you are being completely biased, I know that if I were in your situation I would WANT to end racism, not continue it!

  • You know Mr. Lee we are just having one of those trillions other discussions people have had when it comes to racism. Does it change anything? Nope. Words to me can either be refreshing or like a bad flatulence. Action speaks better. When discriminated people smell bullshit coming far far away from them in a subtle way they react against it, not with it. That's what I like.

  • we are programmed at birth to focus the differences instead of our similarities. it is pre-planned and orchestrated to accomplish the task of DIVIDE & CONQUER. we all were born with a pure heart until we became conditioned. GOD BLESS

  • "Racism is the biggest problem facing our world" Well that, terrorism, mass poverty, threat of nuclear war, AIDS....

  • in effect i think he's saying that you could link racism to all those problem - granted it would be a loose link, but it's arguable

  • There will always be racism unless everyone is exactly the same so don't expect it to ever go away

  • islam is the biggest obstacle between the world and peace

wherever islam is, there is war, and always has been

  • I think you are on the right track but not just islam... the biggest problem is religion in general. Though they speak of peace they have mostly fueled war, seperation, greed, and held the potential of humankind back.

  • religion in general, I can live with that. Lets ban all religions and we shall have peace

  • The same is true of Christianity. Go figure.

  • too right, but not just islam, like many have already said. it segregates and divides us, they all teach the same, yet they fight amongst each other. take the gaza strip crisis, for instance. its not politics, its not people being stubborn, its religion. i see no reason for people not to simply believe in God, or a higher being, science, whatever you choose to call it, without having to attach ourselves to someting that devides us in our lives.

  • you sure changed from the vidio i saved you sent me what changed your mind in the week god blessed your no?smile!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • it starts with our kids there are to races mom and dad man and wemon gods choisen ones the world is races for the money lets save the world with understanding gods love

  • You kinda drowned yourself out with the loud soundtrack. I couldn't focus on your words near the end. Must be nice getting the Featured response from Emma Thompson though.

  • I wish it was so easy. The one good thing I've seen in my life is the end to totally segregated neighborhoods. And yes, I think education is one answer, but I also think that the way we raise our children has a bigger impact. I like to think people look at others for who they are, not what they look like; but then, I am the eternal optimist. Thanks for speaking out, Zennie.

  • end thinking about countries, start thinking about the planet

  • As long as religion exists in the world, so too will racism.

  • U2 Rocks!!!!

  • According to UN International Conventions, "the term "racial discrimination" shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, color, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life."

  • End racism and then what...? Have one wholesome race that shares the same culture and creed?

What do you think of indigenous tribes such as the native Americans, Canadians and aboriginal Australians? Western civilisation has already raped most of their cultures. Do you expect them to stop defending their culture to befit our race problems? It's a wonderful dream, but to be honest I'm offended by your ignorance. I'm not trying to insult you by the way.

  • No one wants this. what a boring world it would be. Not to mention the fact that the continual process of natural selection would inevitably soon render such a sterile concept as an artificial super race obsolete.

  • Exactly.

But I was asking with all sincerity do u have a plan 4 that? Just curious.

  • I don't have the answer. You can educate the young yes, and this would I beleive go a long way towards combating Rascist attitudes. Learning to tolerate the views of others rather than responding to hate and rage with hate and rage would be another help.

  • No you're just suffering from cognitive dissonance. Racism is reality. Deal with it.

  • Yes racism is a reality and I can deal with it. I deal with it by rejecting it totally.

  • so i clicked on this link because i thought it said the davos question- to end world. when i found out it was about racism i was disappointed. not because i am racist either.

  • That's just it: who says there's a problem? Why is this particular emotional by product any more important than murder out of jelousy?

Bias out of love? Emotions are what make us different from the fish and the worms. It's what makes us what we are. They are basic in us. You can't get rid of discrimination without getting rid of the emotion. You can't kill the virus w/o killing the host.

  • Racism is a proven mental illness? Amazing, who managed to scientifically prove that?

I'd be interested that perhaps the same scientific study could be applied to religion too then because that sure is a terrible mental illness also. With much farther reaching and dire consequences.

  • poor bono. u2 used to be a good band until they turned into hippie tards.

I had a feeling bono might have been a marxo-fascist.

all marxists have a huge wake up call coming to them. europe is awakening and so is the u.s. especially ron paul patriots and libertarians.

  • Anyone that is filled with racist guilt for something they had nothing to do with is a total moron. I never owned a slave, in fact, I would fancy a guess that not a living American today ever owned, or was, a slave.

Unconstitutional programs like Affirmative action are a slap in the face to the idea of equality, anyone that thinks differently is dilusional.

  • the most racist people on earth are those that cry about racism and use the race card more than any other.

i used to live in the ghetto. let me tell you that africans do NOT like european people.

yet they come over to leech off of our euro countries.

anyone who has white guilt is completely braindead.

  • Perhaps it was YOU and the attitude you carry that they did not like.

  • you are crazy it is not as bad as it used to be.

  • the "oldspinster" hit the nail on the head. Not only is erradicating disrimination impossible it would be detremental to us has humans. Discrimination comes from emotions whether they be good or bad emotions regardless. Maybe I discriminate against you becuase I hate you or I love someone in competition with you. It wouldn't be fair to erradicate discrimination and leave love or hate. Erradicate jealousy but leave lust. That would be discrimination as well.

  • I'm not sure what you mean or that you understood what I meant. I beleive that with education we CAN eventually make a serious impact upon RACIAL discrimination. Further points made about discrimination were an attempt to seperate the concepts of discrimination as social and political tool from Discrimination as a natural process in decision making. Which of course opens up whole reams of discussion about natural selection.

  • you cant end racism as long as there are different races.

  • Why can't you guys just be happy? We freed you in the late 1800s, we have given you your rights in the mid 1900s... why do you guys insist on asking for more?

  • I see that no one else has even dignified you with a response to the crap that you pulled out, and rightly so.

    That is all.

  • I agree, what you're saying in this video is so true. We do really need to end racism.

  • racism is the best

  • I agree completely. Let's end the discrimination now.

Stop calling me whitey, gringo, Nazi, CONservative, warmongering, greedy, male pig, brainwashed fundie...

...or does discrimination still only go one way?

  • Racism ftw!

  • thats just amazing..

  • and 2) In the East they believe in reincarnation. And if 2 billion Buddhists are right then could it be that maybe a person is only a spirit & that his/her race could change from lifetime to lifetime?

And if the law of karma is correct, what fate could a former slave owner from 150 years ago expect to have happen to him/her in THIS lifetime?

  • Now, do I understand the nature of the universe/world we live in? What are you asking here? Are you asking If I am a Rational thinker?

I don't have religious views, I believe we are born, live, try to procreate and die. Darwin's theory works for me and yes discrimination is built in to it but I don't believe Racism.

  • Then I argue that since u limit your view to that, your solutions will only handle the problem in that fashion & hence only create subsequent & additional problems.

Beyond racism, is the idea of DISCRIMINATING for no apparent reason. BUT to the person DISCRIMINATING he/she has it all justified out in their mind.

  • There are a number of factors here:

    !) False data they have collected about the group;

    2) Negative experiences with that group that re-enforce the discriminatory viewpoint (and here is the key) BOTH CONSCIOUS & UNCONSCIOUS;

These 2 factors lead to a condition that demonstrates to the discriminatory that their viewpoint is in FACT (to them) JUSTIFIED.

  • With regards to race I pose to you 2 Qs:

    1) Have you are studied the Mental Health Act of 1964? If you study its history of implementation, I believe that it shows that it targeted introducing drugs to inner city African-americans. What results would have that wrought?

  • My problem is this, Will is free. You cannot coerce will. The only way you (or I)could create a universal will would be to either eradicate all other free wills leaving oneself alone in the world(self defeating and unacceptable)or coerce all other wills.

  • I agree. But if you find people of like minds, of common goals and purposes you can start to work together to handle the problems of the world.

However there are experiences from the past that can prevent one from making sane decisions in the NOW & can make it difficult to let go of the past. If one lives in the past, one cannot see the sane choices right in front of him/her. So again it is a Q of the person them self.

  • A very thought provoking Video Zennie, Thanks.

  • When you try to solve a problem & the solutions made by those in power dont make sense WELL there is a reason for that. Someone else wants the problem to continue while pretending that they are solving it.

We are spending $275 million per day on a war where 700,000 iraqis have died? Were they ALL Al-qaeda? I dont think so. You have to ask WHY this is happening & then follow the MONEY.

  • are you asking whether I think the clintons are evil? Or if other people think that they are evil? Or that the clintons have this viewpoint that others are evil?

I think that anyone in the establishment has a vested interest in keeping the status quo continuing.

What is not disclosed to the general public is that people are making money from disagreement, (war) from poverty, (banks) from suffering, (pharmaceuticals body & mind) & viewpoints, (i.e. science vs religion).

  • So if you realize that is right I am curious as to what do YOU personally think would actually create more communication, more understanding & hence more willingness? I do have my own thoughts n the subject.

  • thank you for this video :)

    very well done!

  • Sorry to upset you NeoEpzilon but there are still plenty of tyrants and Hitlers' at large in the world today. The real problem is that most political entities these days only start to care if one of these 'Tyrants' makes the mistake of messing about with international oil interests or some other international concern. If it is happenning in say part of Africa for example, well thats very far away from Europe so it should'nt concern us to much...

  • White Europeans are in no danger of extinction, peaceOff. While I am aware that racism can affect any ethnic group I must point out that as a white european the wosrst I have ever faced is to be called an Infidel or a Kaffir. Both not nice but still a long way from 'Chimpanzee' and still further from Auschwitz.

  • peaceOff you are very misguided.

  • How can you guys be so closed minded? People are people. Personality is what counts, not skin colour. The people who need re-educating are the racists.

    Well done Zennie.

  • i agree,

"Self determination for all people in their own homelands is the answer."

i'd hate to see beautiful blonde, red, brown haired people with blue, green, grey eyes wiped out.

we need to preserve the real people of color. europeans.

  • i totally disagree with peaceoffit should not matter what we look like

anda lot of people leave their homelands because it is not safe with thimgs like war.

in the end we r all humans sowe should be able toget on no matter whatskin colour or where we come from.

  • Nice video! The subtle [and NOT so subtle] manipulation I see in the mainstream media, when it comes to the images of non-white peoples, is relentless, brutal, and amazing. The mainstream media programs the peoples of the world to support Racism. Like the song from "South Pacific" said, "You've got to be carefully taught how to hate." Powerful song. Thanks!

  • Self determination for all people in their own homelands is the answer.

  • agree with you pdk11

  • I do not agree. It is not always possible in this world. And anyway, who says we should all stay put and fester in our own narrow spheres? Self determination is an individual experience Wherever you are. Think of the Gypsies who are very culturally aware and yet have no homeland.

  • Read 'Why Integration Has Failed' Feb 08 issue of American Renaissance. amren dot com

  • do you know how great it would be to end all discrimination

its always seems to lead to violence

    and doesnt help anything

i wish people would realize that we would do a lot better without it

  • Thank you for posting this. When you look at the world, it seems a considerable amount of people are fighting, and their fighting stems from long, drawn-out conflicts originating from racism. Kenya, would be a recent example.

Or Jena, LA. The fact that racism still exists in the U.S. is something a lot of people do not want to admit. I find this ridiculous, and I agree with your video.

  • Amazing video. I, too, hope for the same.

  • ut this would take a huge govt program that the govt is never going to be interested in. It needs to start in the schools from kindergarten, or pre-school even. But hey, we're definitely better than 40 years ago even, so in 40 more years.... who knows.

  • The question is-- is it possible for 2 individuals to look at each other and NOT presume anything based off of their skin color, accent, clothing style, etc.? We are programmed to do just that, but with appropriate methods and A LOT of time, maybe we can re-program our minds to not correlate certain presumptions with specifically skin color... maybe.

  • racism is a psychological issue that is natural to humans; unfortunately, we don't like differences much, on a general scale. It will take generations to change the racist mentality-- this way of thinking, interpreting, and receiving one another. There needs to be a huge, long movement that targets our minds in the right ways (which psychologists will have to figure out what those are).

  • If it is addressed from an actual viewpoint it could end within our lifetime. True dat.

It is not a problem inherent of our biology. That is the lie & if u try to address it on that level then u will fail.

  • We're all humans, we're all brothers and sisters! We can all make a difference!

All we need is love, right?

  • If only...

  • There will always be a fear of difference. You can't change that.

  • great vid totally agree, racism is a serious thing and needs to be stoped like terrorism it is something that should be stoped !

  • Great video.

Im with you 110% on this.

Unfortunetly its easier said then done.

  • Beautifully said!!

  • end racism

    please

    think about it everyone

    it's the real

    big issue

  • You say "bad" ppl will always exist. You don't necessarily have to be bad or good to be racist. There are no bad or good ppl. Some are just less respectful of humanity. And they need to be taught that everybody is human. we are all the same.

Thank you for the post Zennie. Maybe we can get people to understand.

  • You say that if we end discrimination around the world we go a long way to prolonging the human race. WELL, The world's population, on its current growth trajectory, is expected to reach nearly 9 billion by the year 2050 (up from 6.6 Billion currently)Luckily disease and war prevent exponetial growth rate or we would run out of resources and room to live quckly. Lack of food and potable water is a more serious concern. P.S Discrimination has existed for thousands of years. Its never going away.

  • Are these really separate issues? We keep on acting in ways that benefit us but hurt others because we are selfish. We don't care if there are habits that pollute the world or policies that discriminate against people if it doesn't affect us directly. Learning to see beyond ourselves is "the golden rule" for a reason.

  • if we cant save our planet, all the problems created by society, like racism, will be irrelevant, so, in my opinion, if we cant face the climate crisis that is afecting us right now and in the close future, its useless to talk about racism

remember, without a planet we will not have racism or other severe problems to solve... SAVE THE PLANET :)

  • people need to be able to work together and respect each other in order to save the planet

  • Mission Impossible, but have fun trying !

  • It's attitudes like this which are the biggest obstacle of all.

  • I'm just being real... If u really want this to happen u should indoctrinate every child on the planet from now on so that the new generation will be racism-free and give extreme pentalties when someone says something racism... This is impossible; "bad" people will always excist

  • zennie62: You must be chuffed to bits that Emma Thompson (Emma freakin' Thompson!) took time out to personally reply to your video.

  • I know right?! That's freaking crazy!!!

  • Great video!

  • I think the hardest part of racism to fight is ignorance. I find it horrible how ignorant people can be. In order to end racism, we must open their ears, and I hope posting this video to YouTube will open them for some. Thank you for uploading this video.

  • I like what she said about hearing each others story. It's difficult to target a person when you can relate to their life story. When you hear their story and see their humanness.

    Again, great vid Zennie. ^5

  • I think intollerance in general is what needs to be worked on. People need to look down upon people who are intolerant. Be it race, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation...

  • But in looking down (on anyone)are we not being intolerant? Surely a more logical idea would be to hold up openess to other veiws and tolerance as model thinking?

  • I'm speaking of a social movement... like "green technology"... it's not that we're intolerant of businesses that don't go green, but we look down on them for not making those changes. see the difference?

  • No.

  • hehe, that's okay.

  • Acttually I'm not being fair. So, yes I understand what you are saying to us I just don't think it is a comprehensive solution.

  • social movments are often the most powerful ones. politicians and leaders want to "set a deadline for change". Doesn't it bother you that the most so-called "comprehensive" solutions are the ones we never see brought to bear?

  • Of course it does. But politicians and leaders are in the business of saying what we want to hear. They are not the solution. You are.

We can teach powerful lessons to others in our actions and thoughts. My lesson is that there is room on this lump of rock for many viewpoints and that we are all valid humans. What is yors?

  • All comes down to willingness. But some people are convinced that certain other people are evil & that living in disharmony is the answer.

  • Discrimination does not end with Racism however. There are prejudices that stretch far & wide. Some happen because of misunderstandings. Others happen because someone has an agenda.

Either case is difficult because the other person already thiks that they KNOW the answer that they KNOW who the other person is becuase of his gender, race, nationality or religion.

  • Nice video Z. I am all for it but realize YOU CANT MAKE PEOPLE DO THINGS. U can ask. Also realize that what people want deep down in their hearts is different from the agenda of most of those in power.

Its all about MORE communication & more UNDERSTANDING of others & being willing to do so. Thats the key the willingness.

  • So, how do we create a universal will?

  • Well OS, I think that is a Q that stems from one of the most basic Qs of philosophy & perhaps as old as time itself.

I would ask what model of the universe, what model of the world, you are looking at first.

Because to me trying to solve the worlds problems without understanding that the nature of our existence will leave one simply frustrated to the point of losing affinity for ones fellow humans.

  • Big questions there. If I have time this week I'll try and formulate a response. Got to go out now, KR1963 thanks for your comment.

  • OK... Here goes KR1963, it is late and I'm tipsy but I think I'm rational. Be patient this may take several postings. I asked my rather fatuous question rhetorically because as a rational person I have a little problem with your belief that willingness is the key.

  • ok OS!

The reason why I say that is that I believe and I have found that people have GREAT abilities within them already so trying to move them in the direction of HAVING great abilities is pointless. What needs to do is help those with great abilities increase their willingness to USE them. Make sense?

  • I think we call it teaching.

  • My personally experience has shown me that trying to solve problems within the western Newtonian mechanistic view of the world creates mechanical answers based upon our biology that are NOT solutions but create more problems then when you started.

There is the basic urge to be good & do good things inside of us all.

But this doesnt always happen. There are ideas that pervert that goodness to the point that some believe that people are basically evil. I do NOT hold this view.

  • How can You or I possibly acheive such a feat. Short answer, I would not try to create a universal will. I think there are other ways to combat racism involving exposure to other cultures and education.

  • But as I said to Zennie, u can try & do that all u want but the adage of bringing a horse to water applies. What is going to make them drink? Only if you give them the truth and often they are not ready for that truth.

Race is linked to biology & if you think that that is the only reality pertaining to the problem, I do not believe you will suceed.

  • Also look at my A 2 the Davos Q. I start address some the underlining causes in it.

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=ZRjPxVrm0VM&watch_response

  • Racism from a rational point of view cannot work because it is limiting.

On an emotional personal level I find racism abhorrent. I beleive I am not racist, although I have to accept that I am discriminating. Every time we make a decision, no matter how small, we discriminate.

  • Discriminating against a person arbitrarily is the basis of which we speak, BUT discriminating thought, differeniation is different from discriminating arbitrarily.

Looking at the person's production is more to the point, then one wipes away their sex & race & looks at the good works the person has done.

  • I do not believe in good and evil. After all I do not beleive in god. However I do beleive in right and wrong. I beleive with all my heart that there is a right way to live. NOW, YOUR TURN...

  • But you don't believe in WHAT GOD? If you say a Christian omnipresent father figure then I would agree with you, BUT I know that I am a spiritual being & I know that I have lived before and that I will live again & I know that the Buddhist concepts of Nirvana & the Godhead do existent, yet I am a very rational AND intuitive person. I have looked at my spiritual experiences thru both lenses & found a truth for myself that I can apply in life and thusly move forward in the direction I see fit.

  • I agree that you are rational and I' m happy that spirituality brings something to your life. However there is a difference between being rational in the sane, sober sense of the term and Rational thought. The moment you turn to any religion you lose perspective.

  • I do not believe that for a second. I am a very spiritual person & am proud of my religious membership. I am a biz owner & I donate to humanitarian charities. You cannot run a successful biz unless u have the ability to analyze data & solve problems correctly.

However as an artist I use my intuition all the time. Sometimes it contradicts the rational data in front of me but I go with it and win.

Racism is irrational but to solve it will take a look at the bigger picture.

  • Actually, the one thing that would actually help would be to to end religion.

As long as we believe in magic men with white beards living in the sky and disagree about whose magic man is more powerful, we will go nowhere.

Religion is the cause of by far the most death and war in human history.

    Rational thought is the answer.

Faith in human beings, not unseen 'spirits' is the key to a better world.

  • Not all religions belief that GOD is a omnipresent hairy thunderer father figure. Not all religions think that there is solely A GOD but many.

Rational thought goes places but in the end its your heart that gets thru the day. Its the ability to use ones INTUITION in conjunction with the ability to analyze physical universe data & come to a conclusion that leads to a pan-determined solution not just a self-determined one.

  • I just replied to jackbellass but i cant see it...

Anyway, nicely done and well said.

  • check my video "On Collectivism," that's what we really need to end, racism is a part of collectivism, but the real problem with racism is it's collectivist discourse and structure. Please watch my video to understand more.....

  • Thank you for creating such a powerful video. YES lets end this now here right now! NOW is the time 2008, let move towards peace and harmony. Will you join me?

  • Give me your hand. ;)

  • I've read most of you responses here and wanted to say that you seem to be an amazingly peaceful, solid, well informed, aware and kind soul you are. I wish you and yours the best. MM

  • well, unfortunately for your argument, when these 'rapstars' use "nigga", they are not using the term to discriminate, or to promote racism, it is used in the same way alot of white people use "Dude" and etc. Racism exists, and the only reason you are nonchalant towards the issue is because you don't have to face this on an everyday basis. Please don't be ignorant because that is just not needed.

  • 99% of whites cry themselves to sleep each night as they feel a deep shame and rabid self hatred. How many more little pansies do you need? Does the remaining 1% with self respect really bother you that much? Whites have willingly removed themselves from any effective avenue of contribution for their societies, and you still cant make it?

  • Wow. does all that bile burn your insides?

  • How can you actually say that we have no right to feel victimized. Have you ever heard of the KKK. im sure you have. Now tell me how many black organizations are there made solely just to terrorize the lives of innocent whites?

  • KayneLove, racism isn't just against black or other colored people. It is against white people as well. I grew up in L.A. Many black people ther are so horrifyingly racist against whites, you would not believe it, and most people, black or white are in complete denial about this.

  • i understand that. & im not sayin that blacks arent racist, but for jackbelias to say we should stop trying to be victims is just rediculous (sp?) because we have been the victims for a long long time & its still not over.

  • I can respect that. But I've been a victim, as well. I've been spat in the eye, attacked, cut with a razor, called a white devil, honkey, etc, mocked, laughed at, all because of the white color of my skin. Not to mention the fact that then I'm the one that's supposed to feel guilty.

  • Hey Mojo. I hear and feel your pain behind being a target of others resintment, anger, hate and hopelessness. I don't know the circumstances of these events, but I do know that it proves the point that racism hurts EVERYONE.

  • I think the difference between being a target of generational, institutionalized racism is that a non-targeted person has access to a legal system that is weighted in your favor. Thats what institutionalized racism means. Peace.

  • True and that's a good point, makezmuzic.

  • icam. i think some ppl (including the ppl who did these terrible things to you)feel like because some ppl are ignorant, all ppl are ignorant. i would never take my anger against racist ppl out on other ppl just because they are the same race. your right, racisim isnt just in whites. i dont think you should feel guilty. i think they (meaning all the racist) should learn, grow, & change.

  • I do disagree with jackbelias, though, especially since it is obvious zennie62 was not speaking as a black man victimized by whites, but as a human being wishing for all of us to unite as a single race, a single people. This is "the dream" of Martin Luther King. He was not just speaking to the victimized black people, but to all people.

  • yeah, and your sissy video is going to end racism...

  • but humans have reason and morals... separate yourself from a bird

  • All birds fly in there own flock.

Us humans are the same we prefer our own type.

  • God I hate U2 but this video definitely has a good message. Ending racism worldwide is without a doubt so close to impossible it's depressing to think of the reality. But even if every country bands together to even improve the situation, Zennie is right, every part of living in this world would be a whole lot easier and solutions to other problems would come a lot sooner.

  • people need to knock down the walls that society has taught us to build up around themselves. we are taught to shut out diversity and to assimilate. when we stand up for what we believe, we are not heard, we get shut down, and life gets worse. remember the song "Imagine" by john lennon? it was written in 1971. it's 2008 - we still have war. nothing has changed and it's gotten much worse than we ever thought it could in this country, never mind, the world.

  • well i don't think that it's got worst. Because we are not still having tyrants and leaders like hitler, and wars like World War I and II. However, what has not changed is the fact that the world still hasn't learned from it's mistakes and is still war'ing, and etc. thumbs up to your comment.

  • wot was the point of that last comment leetmeatgolem??? of course religion is the root cause of a lot of evil, but how can u dismiss the horrendous impact & repurcussions of racism?!!

  • religion is far worse then racism. Racism doesn't drive people to want to obtain nuclear weapons for use on others.

  • how many religions do you know like that?

  • Doesn't it?

Think about it. Do some online research. See if you still feel the same after considering how Hitler might have dealt with German Jews if he had had access to nuclear arms. Take a considered look at The International news for a couple of days. Just think about it for awhile.
