You know ladies, we are not all bad, I have seen this film 6 times, I have a lovely wife, four obnoxious kids, and I love this film to bits... so much so that I got the book.... ps, I eat glass, hate everyone and am generally macho to my mates, but I do like a good love story... what you see is not what you always get.

I love it when they both bend forward and you think "MY GOD, their gonna kiss!" BUT THEY DON'T!!!! They simply touch each other's foreheads, which, in my opinion is far more expressive and magical than even the most romantic kiss. It makes me cry, though :(

This scene has a special place in my heart. My partner had been diagnosed with advanced cancer and we had had a traumatic week. We decided to try and take our minds off things and watched this on DVD. This scene upset me so much because it reminded me of how much I loved him and wanted him to live. I still can't watch it without weeping. Our story also has a happy ending as he survived and has been cancer free for over 3 years! He is my Darcy and always will be.

It was because a kiss isn't written in the original Austen book, but the Americans wanted to have a kissing scene. :)

i would choose Mr. Darcy, a thousand and one times, over Edward Cullen... and Knightley is way better than 95's lizzy. 'cos she acted smart and her eyes are more amiable than those of Ehle's i believe..

the way he chokes on the word "love" as he is trying to say it to her is one of the most perfect instinctive pieces of character interpretation i have ever seen. Best directed version of a classic ever
