I love Holden, and love seeing Commodores win on the mountain, but V8 Supercars is not using real cars anymore. I want to see cars that i can relate to, stuff i'll have a chance to drive one day. Seeing the Skyline kick the asses of the Commodores and Sierras back then, it was great because Nissan had the better car. Bring back production racing to the mountain!
What great cars these were. I love all the black smoke at the start! You can't beat the sight and sound of the 4-cyl turbos pumping out nearly 600bhp!!!
@Nbsimons18 Sure was. He couldn't cut it in the dunnydore so he swapped out to the sierra. then the GT-R's came and wiped the floor with them anyways. Dickies big whinge when he got beaten at Bathurst was a highlight for me, cant stand that guy, never did anything but whinge about how everyone had it better than him. The only thing they had better than him was raw talent.
@mrp510 There's plenty of car clubs racing every weekend with this kind of action. Check out Skylines Australia and SAU Vic TV. Our club can't afford to run any motorsport rounds at Bathurst, but there are heaps of other tracks around Australia that we can use.
