  • Loved this and will be passing it onto the next meathead!!

  • There is zero "fear factor" in eating vegan!

  • My sentiments exactly but much more charismatically said than I would be able to do. It makes perfect sense and I wish everyone would just 'get it'.

  • And honey is not just bee vomit, it ist concentrated bee vomit, since bees let water evaporate to make honey out of nektar. So stay away from it...

  • If you are grossed out by meat, then you are not vegan by choice.

If you would rather die than drink milk or eat meat then you are a freak of nature possible only in the modern society.

  • This guy is awesome.

  • I wish I could meet this guy.

  • @ Solkovsky, you make a good point, let me know how that dead mouse tastes when you catch it!

  • @Solkovsky watch the Q&A of the speech.

  • @TheAnimalHolocaust Did do, thanks.

Very interesting, this has all left me a lot to think about.

  • @Solkovsky Yes, that is right. Cats are carnivores. But we are not, and we have a choice.

I choose cruelty free life style, because there is no need for it

  • @yvonnecad True. If I can find all the protein I need from non-animal products I'm going to give veganism a shot for a while. No point killing if you don't need to, amirite?

  • @Solkovsky definitely! And the protein you find in vegetables and bean and chickpeas and nuts is a lot healthier than the one found in animal products. Try and have a look at the full speech from Gary Yourofsky, that converted me to a vegan and an activist youtube.com/watch?v=es6U00LMmC4

  • @yvonnecad Yeah I've seen it, I'd been thinking about this for a while but his speech definitely made an impact.

  • @Solkovsky Humans were not designed to eat meat. Try again. Cats are carnivores, dogs are omnivores, and humans are herbivores by nature.

  • @harlequinforest777

I have read many resources that state that dogs are actually carnivores who can survive without meat. To me, that makes them omnivores, especially if under the care of a human who can make sure that they are receiving adequate protein. Protein is why dogs often go for meat, because it is a quick way for them to get a dense source of protein in the wild.

  • @Solkovsky That is in the cats nature though cuz to the lion it is natural to them.

  • @Solkovsky I don't think we would be alive to day as a species if we hadn't eaten meat and evolutionarily, moderate consumption of meat in the diet can benefits one health and well-being. However, most cultures over eat meat and meat producers often are incredibly cruel and unethical in the raising and slaughter of animals, so for that reason I think everyone should question how or even if they should consume meat.

  • @Solkovsky I also had a pet dog that used to roll around in his own crap. I suspect he might have eaten a turd or two, as well.

My cat cleans her ass by licking her it with her tongue.

Neither of them hesitate to do either of these things. Doesn't mean that I should follow their example.

  • @Solkovsky we don't have a cat's meat-eating equipment, lol

  • @Solkovsky Cats are carnivores, which means their bodies are built to eat meat. Dogs are omnivores, which means their bodies are meant to eat meat and plants. and humans are herbivores, which means we are meant to eat plants (No this doesnt mean we cannot physically eat meat, because obviously people do). Do some research and our biological system and how it is pretty identical to that of all other herbivores

  • @Solkovsky I do not believe that dogs, cats have the option of buying food at a grocery store. You do not have any mercy I see. I am sure your God will have the same non-mercy and compassion for you.

  • @Solkovsky

It's ironic that many meat-eaters are eager to compare humans to non-human animals when justifying their meat-eating ways, but are just as quick to separate themselves from the same creatures for the same reason.

  • @Solkovsky

If you watch the entire speech, you may not feel as if Gary has missed that point because he addresses that issue using the very example of a cat bringing home a bird.

  • Hey there...you are great!!!! Keep up the good work...from the Juiceman, Jay Kordich

  • It's amazing isn't it, you tell people you don't eat meat & they say, 'well what do you eat then'? Like if I told them I don't eat chocolate, or cornflakes, they don't bat an eyelid! The ignorance & stupidity surrounding this is astounding, I've had friends say to me, 'I hate vegetarians that's why I never ask you to dinner'!! It's one thing, ONE! Meat, yet people freak & I don't even talk about it, I don't like labels, I just don't eat animals period!

  • LOVE YOU, GARY!! THANK YOU so much for posting this segment - I just crack up watching it!! SERIOUSLY though, I do have one veggie customer I see 3-4 days a week for lunch (Subway) who orders cheese on his veggie. While he says he's "almost" vegan, he still eats cheese, and "needs his leather boots for work". I'm working on his resistance, and while I only know he doesn't eat meat, this should also provide humor - along with some thought!

  • I love this guy!

  • You can clearly see that Gary has (strong empathy traits), in fact most vegans and animal rights supporters have these in abundance. Please follow your hearts my friends, and try not to worry too much about meat eaters ignorance.

Lol!!! They say vegans are weird, why does having (compassion for other species), become weird? Weird and immoral; is animals living in fear, pain, and captivity, for their selfish diets.

My fellow vegans, please also read about: Biocentrism (ethics)

  • According to the meat peeps, everything I eat (fruit, veggies, grains, beans, nuts & seeds) is totally void of nutrition and poison to boot. Now if I added some bloody diseased drugged carcass and excretions thereof to my diet, everything would be fine. The meat peeps have totally lost it, lol.

  • You're truly amazing, Gary. Keep it up, you inspire me. : )

  • LOVE THIS GUY!!! FRIENDS WITH HIM ON FACEBOOK!!!!!

  • i get goosebumps every time i watch this speech

  • full video:

"Unfortunately, this SME-music-content is not available in Germany because GEMA has not granted the respective music publishing rights.

    Sorry about that."

  • @babylonoise

    here: aDNKXwdijD4

    ok?

  • @TheAnimalHolocaust

thx and also thx for these ideas

  • Gary is my idol

  • @MrEzzzkiel if it makes you angry, it means that deep down you know that *ethically* it's wrong. Follow your heart instead of blaming the messenger.

  • This total talk is great. I'd love to shake this man's hand with total respect. A true stand up guy if ever I saw one. (Good Job Gary.) For anyone else who needs to catch up on some other vids, visit my website and more will be added.

  • I'm gonna watch the entire speech again right about....now.

  • I say this every time my friend laughs at me when I mention soy meat, boca burgers, or almond/soy milk she makes a face.

  • "the standard diet of a meat eater is blood, flesh, veins, muscles, tendons, cow secretions, hen's periods and bee vomit....." wow, can't believe I used to guzzle all that down!!!

  • the entire speech is really good.

  • @KrisMTL - i know. it played a huge part in turning me vegan. But not everyone wants to watch the whole thing, so these cuts are great to give people a quick impact and then they'll be more likely to watch the whole thing imo

  • another excellent segment cut, great to send to people
