  • Oh man... I'm from London and I lived in NOLA for a bit during 2000, the Soul Rebels at the Dragons Den.. wow, man.

But what is up with the audience here? Why the hell are they standing still??? what??? Guys you make my world better :D

  • Love this!! Especially at 3:30 - how the children create their own parades/bands!! Thank you God for this musical culture!

  • I bet that tuba player went to Southern too, I can tell by his upper register.

  • @Bobofwestoregonusa ya dong right. i mean theyre tubas never play in the lower register. smh. gotta love soul rebels though

  • Sounds like some great brothers, but this interviewer sucks....he said "You Cats...You gentlemen"

  • it bothers me when people think that just because a band is from neworleans that they played good music, fact is good music is good music and bad music is bad, dont matter if your from neworleans or not, sloppy is sloppy

  • can't that guy interview or what--community college communication degree

  • iv been playing the cornet since i was 5 so i hope im that good some day :O

  • Me And Marcus Hubbard Grew Up together, Went 2 Fannie c. Williams And Sarah T. Reed Together. He was famous in New Orleans in 89 going into the 90's on that trumpet..Marcus is famous SARAH T REED BAND #1

  • Marcus Hubbard was my crab brother at Southern Univ. Marching Band. Fall 96. His brother played trombone too, Malcolm.

  • New Orleans brass! Yeah!

  • c'est trop bien moi je lai ai vu en vrai ils sont super

  • This reminds me of Youngblood Brass Band

  • Soul Rebels were around longer... YB even pays tribute to them in one of their songs off Center:Level:Roar, where Dave raps off a list of New Oreans brass bands that influenced them.

  • Oh, I guess that explains it all :)

  • The Soul Rebels Brass Band...... wow!

  • yea whea ma dawg win at? lol

  • Where's Tannon and Winston?

  • This was a special Soul Rebels performance in Houston at the Libra Lounge - their last regular performance there in fact. Since this was a once-a-week gig in Houston, perhaps the entire band did not come to this performance. Marcus Hubbard and Lumar LeBlanc, and the entire band were real pros that night and set the club on fire that nite. Real privilege to meet them and see this performance.

  • repin dat 5 0 4. soul rebels are the truth. i see them every thrusday at le bon temps

  • hell yeah they rock le bons. It's all intimate but at the same time you know it's somthing special. You gotta love bands that make their way but still stay humble and play at the same places.

  • that was phenomenol!!! (idk if thats spelled right but fuck it)

    such a sick groove
