Back in the 80s and 90s, children's shows ACTUALLY taught geography and world history and culture (I'm looking at you Histeria, Puzzle Place, Where on Earth/In the World is Carmen Sandiego, and that Nations of the World song from Animaniacs) But now they don't seem to give a crap whether or not the children are going to grow up ignorant or not. Man, I loved this show as a kid. I was four and learning about Africa and India and all sorts of places and cultures.

Just the other week my four year old cousin comes over, stacked with all kinds of 'educational' shows teaching her colors and numbers.

The show and the video games were always good clean fun for kids. They taught geography, social studies, history, culture . . . etc. I remember playing the game in junior high in typing class years ago. We would finish our work early so we could play.
