  • these people are people just as you and me. Before you go judge read the Bible. do you not then keep your mouth and continue. they leave you in peace so shall you do that to them. I find them amazing and great i hope they be for ever like this i wish i was but i am hocked on electric

  • @mitchelroad They are true communists in every way and fashion except the religious one which makes them backward (gender inequality, dogma, etc). Both with the "good" and the "bad". That's something to think about. Including certain amount of censorship and expulsion from the community. Just like old american settlers they build homes together, schools and churches to.

Don't know why the rest of you americans stoped being communist at heart.

  • @UberVersatile

They may be what they want its not to me to judge. And if you say that the are backward perhaps but is everyone how read the bible not backward. They judge over the creation of GOD. A human is a creation of God how ever he may be. So don't judge he will do if he need that. But God is love so he will never ever do that. And censorship and expulsion is in every community so what is there to judge. but thanks for your remark

i am by the way Dutch

  • as all sects are under different rules, the main goal for all is to be undependant on any of conveniences such as tractors and electricity from power lines, and vehicles for anything other than working construction. cell phones, gas powered generators and skid loaders are becoming more common, as tools to work with. they also have deep faith and are mostly decent people to work with and are very giving to help those in need. i've been going to a plowday in indiana, and see this first hand!

  • I find the Amish a backward inbred cult with stupid morals. No tractor but up to 6 horses/mules pulling an engine driving a baler WTF

  • Some of the amish communties allow their member the use of engines, as long as they are drawn by horses. There is no reason to blame them for the work they do!

  • by the way: nobody is able to cut hay! You only can cut gras, after that it converted to hay!

  • Using an engine, but pulling it with horses? Absurd! Poor horses...

  • congrats on making your life harder, fools

  • @depsterboy

At least they are not burning oil, fool.

  • @HeinrichGruenmann what do you think is powering the haybine? see that red tank on the tounge, the engine and the belt drive to replace the tractors pto? im sure it is running on angel tears
