"Catchy" is subjective, and for whatever reason, we might find that people do find it that way, or perhaps the opposite. @fergiman That's because Killing Me Inside in the video is the final version of the song that was fully recorded and mastered a month ago. This We All Bleed is the demo version of a song...all the way from January of last year. There WILL be tweaking and more polish in the final version.

You ever hear of the coelacanth? They are fish that haven't changed for millenia. There are few of them remaining, their meat tastes bad, they're not good looking and their only claim to fame is being old and staying the same for a really long time. This sounds too unnatural, like something you'd hear in a 1940's black and white scary movie. The quality of Crossfade's music dropped off on Falling Away, and I hope they can fix that, but that won't happen if their other songs sound remotely like this. i was a huge crossade fan. and their past songs always brought some type of hope...this song is just waaaaayyyy to dark for them and for me. this is something past fans have to get use to
@pyrorockztar Band maintains that the hopeful songs still remain. Admittedly, the band has spent the last few years being royally screwed over by their label, so having darker songs is sort of to be expected. And darker songs aren't really THAT new to the band, there were quite a few on their previous releases.
Still, all we got so far is two songs, that's only a small taste of what the album will have. Don't think they'd entirely ditch the hope bit. It's sort of what got them back to us. <3

@Nielk19 Sales of Falling Away did NOT do as hot as their debut did. Seems to me it's a story that happens too often to bands: most of the awesome people at Columbia who had their full support behind the band for their debut ended up being lost in the shuffle, so for Falling Away, they were dealing with people not willing to put the promotional muscle behind the album. The reaction of fans who were expecting a rehash of the first album didn't really help either...

Wow, this demo song has been out for about 1 year, so I should think their album will come out next month. Last year I heared rumors that it's comming out in october....and it didn't. Then I heard it would come out in november....it didn't, then I heard it would come out in march.....it didn't. Hopefully next month is the month it comes out.
Don't get me wrong, I like Crossfade's old sound too but this is exactly what Shinedown did. They went deeper, darker, and harder than they had before and their most recent album was by far their best.

i first listened to this soon after it came out... and i absolutely hated it then.
now? pretty much still hate it. but i respect it a little more now that i've given it another shot. the song is written pretty well, it's just crossfade isn't, imo, supposed to be this dark... people who like this style will like the music, but most existing fans of crossfade have got nothing here.

Reinventing the fanbase isn't a matter of what an artist or band does, it's how the fans react to it. And in that case and with this band, it's nothing that hasn't happened before.

@Haveada It was available from Crossfade's Myspace page a while back...but only for 24 hours. I ripped it...I only planned to share it in one group that wasn't really all that active, but some no-faced whiner who didn't have the guts to put a name to his complaints or even participate in the group got all uppity with me for doing THAT, so I figured I'd upload it to Youtube...where EVERYONE could hear it. More people who hear Crossfade coming back, the better. ;3

@Haveada If Crossfade ever says "take it down", I'm taking it down, no questions asked. Of course, the fact still stands that it's still out there for people to get seeing as it's likely been redistributed by other people so it's a bit pointless anyways. Not to mention it's a demo of a song that'll likely sound much different as the final version (that I WON'T be posting on here, I am NOT posting the album on Youtube...that's everyone else's job. XD )

you know this song is pretty dark and kind of evil but i like it ok i loved their old songs to i think they should just keep some songs similar to their old songs but get some like this because this could be really good to listen to when your in a certain mood you know your mood changes the songs you like to listen to at least for me it does thats why i like this song.

Main reason why some of the songs are darker than people are accustomed too is because the band has sort of been in a darker period...what with their old label screwing 'em over and all. But there will be songs similar to their old ones, because they managed to get out of that darker period, you know? <33

@fergiman Making judgements based on one song, a demo song at that, is total balls. Being a part of "the first one is always the best" crowd isn't exactly the best thing either, because you're more or less guaranteed to end up listening to albums from them that will have them progressing as artists rather than rehashing their previous sound for other people's benefit. This ain't AC/DC, son.
We have video of their new song, Killing Me Inside, which you'll probably like more.

@fergiman That's because Killing Me Inside in the video is the final version of the song that was fully recorded and mastered a month ago. This We All Bleed is the demo version of a song...all the way from January of last year. There WILL be tweaking and more polish in the final version.

@tacoeaze I'd much rather buy an album of them branching out into unexplored territory rather than go to pick out one of their albums only to find out I more or less got the same album I did in 2005. You ever hear of the coelacanth? They are fish that haven't changed for millenia. There are few of them remaining, their meat tastes bad, they're not good looking and their only claim to fame is being old and staying the same for a really long time. Crossfade is not a coelacanth. >:P

This sounds too unnatural, like something you'd hear in a 1940's black and white scary movie. The quality of Crossfade's music dropped off on Falling Away, and I hope they can fix that, but that won't happen if their other songs sound remotely like this. This new vibe doesn't sound like them at all; in fact, this doesn't even really sound like rock music at all. Come on, guys, you can do better than this

@ktwooo It doesn't look like anything because its a song. Songs require LISTENING. I suppose that would explain why you believe that this "looks" like a lame electronia song even though this sounds waaaaay different from true electronia.
This is a demo song, the final version on the album is liable to be much more polished and much more different. We have the music video for Killing Me Inside, the final version of a song that'll be on their album, which is much more rockin'. You might like it.

i was a huge crossade fan. and their past songs always brought some type of hope...this song is just waaaaayyyy to dark for them and for me. this is something past fans have to get use to

@pyrorockztar Band maintains that the hopeful songs still remain. Admittedly, the band has spent the last few years being royally screwed over by their label, so having darker songs is sort of to be expected. And darker songs aren't really THAT new to the band, there were quite a few on their previous releases.
Still, all we got so far is two songs, that's only a small taste of what the album will have. Don't think they'd entirely ditch the hope bit. It's sort of what got them back to us. <3

@Nielk19 Sales of Falling Away did NOT do as hot as their debut did. Seems to me it's a story that happens too often to bands: most of the awesome people at Columbia who had their full support behind the band for their debut ended up being lost in the shuffle, so for Falling Away, they were dealing with people not willing to put the promotional muscle behind the album. The reaction of fans who were expecting a rehash of the first album didn't really help either...

with the new album being called We All Bleed, its 100% sure this will be on it, maybe with some changes here and there but still, im really glad this ended up on the new album because i really like this.
Thought it might have been an early studio session or something else before starting again on a real new album, but they kept it, awesome ^^

Wow, this demo song has been out for about 1 year, so I should think their album will come out next month. Last year I heared rumors that it's comming out in october....and it didn't. Then I heard it would come out in november....it didn't, then I heard it would come out in march.....it didn't. Hopefully next month is the month it comes out.

I don't know what you're all complaining about.
Don't get me wrong, I like Crossfade's old sound too but this is exactly what Shinedown did. They went deeper, darker, and harder than they had before and their most recent album was by far their best.
This song is not bad at all.

i first listened to this soon after it came out... and i absolutely hated it then.
now? pretty much still hate it. but i respect it a little more now that i've given it another shot. the song is written pretty well, it's just crossfade isn't, imo, supposed to be this dark... people who like this style will like the music, but most existing fans of crossfade have got nothing here.
they'll practically reinvent their fan base if the rest of the album is like this...

@deathwalk86 I am an existing fan of the band and I got "something" here, alright. ;) The songs they have tend to vary on the scale of light and dark...and they've always been keen on trying new things.
Reinventing the fanbase isn't a matter of what an artist or band does, it's how the fans react to it. And in that case and with this band, it's nothing that hasn't happened before.
I'm still glad you're willing to give it a chance. Hopefully, the rest of the album will be to your liking. :)

@deathwalk86 this is pretty good...i've been a fan of crossfade since the beginning (The "Cold" era)...i must admit that i wasn't much of a fan of "Falling Away" but this song, and hopefully the rest of the album will make up for that lol Trust me, i'm sure once the album comes out, you'll pick up a liking to it

This is actualy the closest they're going to get to Alice in chains or something, their old music was nothing like grunge, shouldn't be under a post-grunge category but then again ALL the post grunge bands milk the shit out of the sucess of Alice in chains & Nirvana without actualy being grunge
