  • RIP CR, you were a god to the skiing world

  • yeah these guys are cool and doing this stuff is cool but the problem is with this line of profession all it takes is a wrecked knee and your greetin at walmart

  • It's crazy I'm in shock. I was just actually wondering what that guy had become.

  • rip

  • He is still the best and there will be no one like him again R.I.P BRO Cr Johnson.

  • At age 26, Johnson died skiing at his home mountain, Squaw Valley Resort in the Light Towers area.[23] Witnesses said he caught his ski on an exposed rock which caused him to fall several hundreds yards down a ridge.[24] The medical assistance showed up several minutes after the incident but pronounced him dead on the scene.[25]

  • Damn i just heard about this its crazy mcconkey and another homie thats insane i just heard about him too this is sad shit.

  • R.I.P. CR !!! FREESKI 4 LIFE !!!

  • Rather 4 death

  • Good, stay off the slopes. You'd have to love something enough to take the risk, i'm not surprised that you don't understand. And I doubt after recovering from total paralysis he thought he was invincible

  • @dianaysimmons yea dude we should all just curl up in front of the tv, or in a cubicle. GO FUCK YOURSELF, your pissing on a dead man, he died doing what he loved, listen to him in the video, its what he wanted to do, and im sure that if he could relive his life he wouldnt change a thing

  • @HAHAHANOFX curling up in front of TV is boring but sticking your neck out risking is death is ignorant! I'm 45 yrs. old & when I was younger i did crazier things than I do now because when you get older you understand that taking death-defying risks is unwise because you value living more than living dangerously! I don't mean any disrespect to him... i was just trying to tell the younger crowd to calm down and be safe!! that's it. My only brother died @ 17 recklessly- HAVE FUN &BE SAFE PLEASE

  • @dianaysimmons we risk death every day just driving to work, freak accidents happen, ill take my chances while skiing, if i die i will die happy, heres to you CR

  • @dianaysimmons I'm sorry you live your life with no enjoyment. people live life by taking risks, if your not than its not much of a life, is it? CR was one of those people that understood the risks and decided to live life and continue to do what he loved best! He shows his love in this clip and will always be remembered for he's perseverance not his failures! If you fail to see that, I'm sorry. I hope you can look at it in another way... I said it before, run the risk and live your life!

  • R.I.P. C.R. u will live on and be a positive example for everyone who loves the sport, save some freshies for those of us who are waiting to get there

  • Anyone in this industry knows someone or someone who knows someone that has lost someone in skiing. I feel sad for those of us who are without them. They are in a better place and we are blessed to have been with them. I feel for his friends and his family. My thoughts and prayers go with them but he died doing what he loved and what was most important to him and what made him happy and what most important of all gave him a sense of self. God bless you CR we will see you again.

  • YOU get to spend Eternity in "ski heaven", we'll miss seeing you and your innovative poetry in motion moves on those majestic mountains, BUT your legacy lives on forever: to live EVERYDAY as if it's your last, live ever so PASSIONATELY and doing what you love!!

Thank you for that gift & powerful message :))

    R I P bro!!

  • Rest in Peace....you are part of freeski history forever ....and you will live in us :,(

  • RIP CR! Like you said, at least you were able to recover and actually LIVE regardless of how long. Everyones heart is aching and it is amazing what an impact you had on so many people. Id like to think you finished what you were made to do here and we will be with you some day soon. You were such a sweetheart and will be missed more then you could ever know

  • Who did he crash into?

  • Kye Peterson

  • a born skiier... if that was the most natural thing.. amazing!

  • at least he died doing what he loved and with all due respect, i gotta say - no one should should do expert ski runs, let alone aim for a career doing expert tricks with a severe brain injury...its just not a wise decision no matter how you slice it.

  • RIP cr we love u !!

  • RIP bro

  • RIP Johnson!

  • Rest in Peace Charles Russell Johnson , your were the best!

  • omg! just heard the news! RIP CR!

  • :( sad

  • shout your mouth you dumbass... i wish you would take his place bastard

  • H o where you getting a date MO, says WHAT?

  • i wonder if his coma played a part in - 1: his move making decisions / ability. and 2: his brain frailty.

  • @Shadowlily21

at 3:12, what his doctor said probably still affected him

  • occupational hazard

  • live to ski, ski to die

  • Wow tragic to see someone who had so much potential die so young.

  • Lol. I just want to say REST IN PEACE CR JOHNSON.. MAYBE YOU ARE GONE BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS.. FROM DOMINICAN REPUBLIC..NEW YORK..

  • so he got what he wanted

  • Died doing what he loved.

  • rip

  • one of the best freeskiers in the world, he was to young.. r.i.p.

  • he should have heeded the warning

  • rip cr

  • One of the first skiiers I watched in awe. RIP CR

  • May Your Soul rest in peace CRJ.

You were an inspiration for me !!!!!!!!!

Hope You hit better slopes up there !!!

  • CR was built to be a risk taker. It's why he was a great, inspiring, important person. His inner need to overcome fear and push his limits is the reason that you and I have heard of him and are having this conversation. The concept of whether or not "risk is worth it" misses the point that being a skier was core to his own self-worth.

CR died in an accident. Thousands of people die in accidents every day.

    RIP, CRJ.
