Lol I remember how every Episode of Chips followed the Same Formula: especially at the End when the inevitable Big accident would occur. Also remember in the Early eps of the Show that Ponch and John didn't get along, and Ponch would always get his uniform dirty or crash his Bike trying to do some stupid stunt? Ah memories!

My lil'l brother and I, use to always make sure we were in our front living on time room to watch, CHiPs. So, I had the band play it at his wedding party. Our mum told me not to because, he would get mad & it would ruin the whole wedding. She was wrong because, he was right up there on the dance floor with both, his wife and myself. After the dance he came over to our table & gave us a thumbs up & a big brotherly hug... :)

This isn't the original theme; the "discofied" theme from 1978 and onward. I prefer the 1st season theme better.

When I was in Kindergarten back in 1977-78, THIS SHOW WAS EVERYTHING TO ME!!! I had an OFFICIAL gold megaphone (hand held speaker) like they used in Independence Day. I cut out the badge logo from the box and carried it in my pocket. This intro is ONE OF THE BEST in TV history!!!!

i loved this show so much. All I wanted to be after watching this show was a motor cop, and i damned sure did it. When I was in my teens/early 20's my friends and I would ride our motorcycles side by side like this, singing this song out loud and try to do everything Ponch and John did....
