OH that sucks!! I witnessed the same thing happen at a beach I go to often. We kept watching the sailboat come in closer and closer to the shore until it got to where the waves were crashing. We thought it had come loose from the nearby harbor and drifted over but then an older guy popped out and things got real interesting. Lifeguards saved the old man but once the boat got slammed it was completely destroyed. Turns out the old guy fell asleep and woke up too late. :-(
