  • I've been looking for this song for years!

I'm surprised that I'm still able to sing the hook with music. :-D

    Thank you for posting!

  • i saw this movie when i was 10 or 11 and i could never find the soundtrack :( but now im happy :)

  • この歌は最高にカッコイイです。

    出撃のシーンとマッチして凄く哀愁を感じます。

    UPしてくれて大変感謝しています。

  • This song really fit the mood when it came out. Its what I remember most out of the anime.

  • for me this song is like...pull the trigger... :)

and usually is in my playlist for gaming :D

  • out of all da views no dislikes

  • dont try to put other anime in that series of 80s gundam and lots of others anime was and are great but this one my friend was an anime so hironic about peoples lifes so brutal with the aeroplane death... i will not forget the the death of wuenbi ( i watch in greek translate and more or less that was the name) whos end was before the parachute opens at the chair after he got out from the cokpit..no gundam no macross had this brutal kills...

  • @ae0lian26 don't forget the shot of shin shooting his own guy and the anime shows the bullet go through his helmet. flat out brutal

  • This is an ass kicking Battle Song!

  • Frankly, I first watched the new Area 88, and it had great soundtrack. But after watching the old one just today, I was more than impressed by how good the music was. Great, but also sad show with great, but also sad music.

  • @life4nina Yeah. Area 88 is a pretty dramatic anime with a story that leaves you with such an impression.

  • This music never gets old

  • Amen to that. So true.

  • It is awesome...

Could somebody post an English translation please?

  • there already is an englishtranslation of the sho but it's a dub... in other word the dialouge is written int bottom of the screen. if thats what you asking.

  • Turn and Burn baby! HOO-AH!!

  • Turn and Burn.... the first simulator I ever played. I was captivated from the very first minute...

  • よくぞUPしてくださいました!

    エリア88挿入歌の中でもNO1の曲だと思います。

  • Everytime I listen to this song it makes me want to go out for a midnight ride across the world!

  • It's too awesome

  • @MDthornton83 Same feelings here.

  • This was my favorite song from Area 88, the take off sequence for the 10,000 dollar mission with this song is so cool that it gave me goosebumps the first time I saw it.

  • @ZeonicSoldierUC0079 i think the best music was at the final fight at the episode three :) but also this is great song before the night flight mission XD

  • 1985 baby! But I first saw this back in 89 as a kid.

This and Macross was the shit!.

  • Area 88, Macross, and Southern Cross are three of the most unforgetable examples of quality anime.

  • Gundam is probably my very favourite. but I only mean the GOOD old ones like 0079, zeta, 0080.

  • @Shunmaha

Don't forget Gundam 0083 (we see 3 Gundam prototypes crippled and destroyed in 13 episodes, a record plus a more realistic gundam like a powerful weapon, but not a godlike monster like Gundam Seed or Wing) and if you are interested, search for Macross Plus movie edition, it is really worth to see it (cool prototype Valkyries + classic lovetriangle+ Strong AI + adult characters+ wondeful songs by Yoko kanno)

  • @cid76 I am a fan of the Tomino Yoshiyuki works(seen all except ones before xabungle, and king gainer). but gundam 0083 wasn't bad either, had a pretty serious story. Ive seen some of the macross animes but i don't find it interesting much. Kanno yoko music is nice, Brain powerd was done by her too. Have you ever seen Space runaway Ideon? it's great with all the sugiyama koichi musics too, and don't forget the movies. Probably one of his best works.

  • Goodbye Sweet Goodbye Sweet Goodbye Blue Iron. Holy Shit I remember this

  • I love this song! Very catchy!

  • 自分も随分探していたのですが、また聴くことが出来て嬉しいです。感謝!!

  • 5 star and added to favourites! Im a HUGE fan of 80's anime and this is by far one of my favourites. Original story, great drama, great action and beautiful music! Thanks for uploading these songs now i remember how great these OVAs were!

  • I take it back; its only funky sounding at the beginning. But overall, this song is great. In fact, I find myself dancing to this everytime I hear it. And its to my memory that this was played in the sequence where the pilots preparing for their next mission.

  • the best moment of area 88 the night that they are going on the mission !!!!

  • This song kicks ass period!.

Ace combat should start using music like this!.

  • damn right! This music makes me WANT to fight. It's way better than that "dramatic" orchistra music they've been using.

  • Truth is they use orchestra music all the time. They aught to be more open-minded and try other styles for crying out loud! And 80s style is a good example of some of them!

  • @vfIskullangel Agreed! There even times I ask myself, "When it's the last time an action/Sci-Fi Anime used upmusic like this?"

Anyway, although I never watched "Area 88" (and I always wanted to see it), thinking of this song gives me the feel of the Anime being to Japan, what "Top Gun" is to North America.

  • Funky sounding track. But still cool.

  • search hig kality please ? upload ,

    THKS

  • titel pleaseeeeeeeee

  • "Good bye Lonely Blue"
