  • Very cool videos, really impressive and good for ears =)

  • Revisiting this guy a year and a half later, this really is just a fantastic track.

  • @blwvideo Thanks Brian!!

  • i love these sounds... so much. great performance doc

  • I wish I had the money to afford this. You know how many hours I would spend on this thing?

  • glad I stumbled upon your work, very relaxing

  • deliciously groovin'!!! I dig the mix & clock dividing, too :o)

  • this verry good it swings

  • What do you do for a living and CAN I INTERN? 20 m fair mannered with an undying love for modular systems XD

  • love your videos, great music, beautiful system.

  • very very cool! XP

  • I really like your videos first off. The VCDO is a 'pry it out of my cold dead fingers' module for me. The perfect foil with warm analog oscillators.Check out my tracks on virb - better audio, and VCDO all over the place. Especially the track called Perspicacity. Thanks for your fine music!

  • Really cool. Is that Modcan VCDO right next to the sequencer? If so, do you think it is worth buying?

  • What are you using to get those groovy syncopated drum sounds? Is that the 730 with modules? Or a drum machine.

    Sunsinger

  • That's Stylus RMX running in DP. Some of the loops are standard 'real' drum loops and some are chopped up modular previously recorded modular jam bits that I (rather time consumingly) chop into slices in Recycle so they can be sped up and slowed down in real time. Since the loops are layered afterward, I freely move the 'one' around and such.

    thanks for asking!

  • @doctorvague abletons slice to MIDI. I just saved you a sickening amount of time.

  • also: about syncopation - I freely layer beats against each other where they're 'not supposed to go', like starting a loop on beat 3 and a half and another on beat 2 if that's what works feels good against the improv. And that changes as it goes along -the perceived 'one' at any given moment.

  • I'm still waiting for the cowbell......

    Dance baby dance !!

  • you sound like Vitalic...amazing!!!!

  • Thanks so much for all the nice comments - I really appreciate it!

  • Super sounds and groove!

  • Phil, that was great! I think this is my personal favorite of your videos.

  • Another excellent one!

  • great vid Dr.V!

love your new sequencer! it looks very 'playable'.

  • Is this all realtime?

If so, you're a true Modular Master.

    If not, it's still great.

  • The modular is totally dry, as real time as it gets, no edits

the drum loop stuff was added after the fact

I jammed to a static loop

and later One was wherever deemed appropraite in the remix moment

  • I love it !

  • Sounds fantastic! Although I MUCH preferred the first 10 seconds to the right. Jaw dropping sweet it was! :D

  • Woooo, first view. That was the best thing I've seen in a while!

  • I should have changed shirts.
