Anybody who was there that day will never forget the unbelievably oppressive heat. It was 118 that day. Remember the fire trucks spraying the masses!! I can't believe it's been 17 years.
Actually it did...by Celtic fans that are LA residents. I remember reading about it in the newspaper I think it was. I wouldn't have said something about it otherwise.
In a market with only two pro teams at the time(and one of those teams being NFL's hapless Phoenix Cardinals at the time), it was kinda big and gave the fans a thrill, something to look forward to.
"Biggest parade for a team that came in 2nd" Well its abvious they were witness to the greatest Power Forward of All Time and the Greatest One Man Team Player getting to the finals and making a scare at the champs. Suns should remember Sir Charles whom single handedly took this team to the finals!
Wow, this is a long time ago...back when I lived in Maryland.
Yes, it's true, I wasn't born in Phoenix but I live here now and have for a few years now. I love the Suns!!! I was here before and after the 04 season, I never turned my back on my Suns, and I'm happier for it. Suns fan for life!!!
Awesome!! I've always wanted to see this in other than pictures, that morning I was pissed that I couldn't watch Saturday Morning Cartoons and was still sad they lost (I was 9). It's a nice reminder of how the Suns truly owned Phoenix and how much support they had for several years before the Arizona idiots jumped off the bandwagon until 2004 (Not counting the fair weather D'Back fans). Oh well, nice to see KJ and Barkley again outside the AWA!! Go Suns!!
Amen to that....I'm 15 and before the D-backs & Coyotes & who gives a crap bout the Cardnals but Phoenix was a Suns town everything was suns classrooms had Purple & Orange justa suns town.

Wasn't Kobe greeted back in LA to chants of "You're not MJ!" Where would you rather play, somewhere your efforts are appreciated or shunned?

I was there! But I didn't get to see Barkley, because the crowd mobbed his car so they had to take him out.
