@jballen90 Yea, which actually proves they are fake, batteries have not been used in Pokemon saves since the original Gameboy/GBC series. When Ruby/Sapphire came out, they used a different type of hardware memory, at the time relatively new in cartridge games, Flash Memory, which is Non-volatile, meaning it does not need power to keep data, hence no need for the crappy batteries they installed in games prior, which Nintendo does not support, and is almost impossible to have replaced. Look it up.

However, R/S/E DID have a battery in them, however, they should NOT be seen , because it was smaller, and covered by the label. But, it was only for the clock function in R/S/E, NOT for saving, and were designed to be easier to replace, unlike the Red/Blue/Yellow, and G/S/C, which were soldered onto the board itself, and very easy to spot on the Crystal games. So far, I know 8 places where I live who can replace R/S/E batteries, but only one who will replace the older ones, and they cost 3x more

@CaptainPoovabladoo It's not fake. I've just realized my copy of it doesn't have the seal too, and I never realized it until I saw my copy next to a friend's copy which had it. The print is also slightly different, and the gold background is slightly darker than the newer friend's copy. The rating is also slightly finer/smaller detail on my friend's copy. I know this for a fact to not be fake because I bought and kept my copy since the release of the game, I bought it right when I got my GBC.

Add harvest moon GBA games to the list. The sure way to spot a fake is a real GBA game has imprinted numbers, and letters (usually 4) on the front art of game itself.

My harvest moon FOMT game was surefire when I saw it. Label was off center to the upper left not even 1CM. Amateurs i tell you. Opened game and what do i find?? Anyone want to guess? At least it worked ok and didn't glitch every few steps.

Actually that circle is on real copies. it's the internal battery, used in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald so the clock works. I'm not sure if they were in Leaf Green or Fire Red, but my (legit) Sapphire/Emerald copies have the circle there.

Damn, this happened to me for buying from china! You know what I did with these fake pokemon cartidges? Well I went to gamestop, purchased Emerald for $40. Went back later with my fake cartidge and claimed it didnt save. They returned my money and eveb had a legit emerald! Thats what gamestop gets for selling me a fucked up xbox 360 game once and refusing to refund me.
