Ni was more theatrical warnings to what was come, Kai was very calming and reflective of the overall moral learned in the series, and Rei was kinda thrown in there, but I loved the ending. Kai is my favorite though, it's very calming.

I love the series. After a whole year I remembered, hey, I need to finish this! And I FINALLY finished the second season today, but the second season wrapped everything up good and tight, so what was the point in the third season. I saw the first episode and I wanted to scream about how pointless it seemed, especially because it doesn't go along with what ended in the second season. I like the second season because it wraps it all up, but the third seems like it's simply for FAN SERVICE~!

@XxXAnnaAnestheticXxX It wasn't 'cut-off' or anything it was originally planned to be 5 episodes. Rei is not really a season, its an OVA, so basically it was some extra arcs and stuff. But yes I wish it would've been longer. D:

Also, fun fact: Mion also has "demon" in the Japanese writhing.

Gosh, listening to the 3rd OP really depresses me, not because It's sad, but because I remember waiting for the full version to come out last summer (we moved last August to the other side of town) and listening to it reminds me of all the good days I had at my old house.

I think the last season touched me the most because of the opening and how Rika feels after everything she went through.

Whenever I tell anyone about this anime, I describe it this way:

"There are groups of episodes called 'arcs' in which someone becomes paraniod of the others and at least one person ends up dead."

They are either interested or scared away. The latter happens more often, I'm afraid.

well, it was.

but the end of it was different. Hanyuu wasn't there. and the logo appeared different. it doesn't show the "KAI" symbol and then the others appear. it flashes through every Japanese character that makes up "HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI" then the "KAI" appears, then a spatter of blood. :O

but, when you get to the third season, you'll see that it fits. Season one's opening denotes horror and violence, fitting of the first season. Season two's opening denotes hopelessness, and the third loneliness. They all fit their seasons respectively. But that's all I'll say, cause I don't want to spoil. :)

Actually, they arent directly correct. The Reason for that is that when you translate things from one language to another, you have to take into account what kind of grammar and language skills are used in that language. The lyrics stated are in a word for word format, meaning that they were translated each word for it's meaning. You have to fix up the grammatical errors and everything like that and THEN you will have the correct translation. Its called the illiteral form of it. Its confusing...
