I love that actress, but she just doesn't do Sarah's character justice. Lauren Graham has that sort of free spirit attitude that she did so well in Gilmore Girls. That's why I love Parenthood so much. It's like Gilmore Girls 2.

I am a big fan of Lauren Graham and she plays Sarah the best way. Her connection with Mark is just great, its so fun to watch them. I honestly can´t imagine relationship between Mark and Maura Tierney as Sarah... But I hope she´s ok. And she got role in another series so she doesn´t have to be sad from giving up this :)

It's probably much more difficult to play another mom, because everybody will compare Lorelai with Sarah... That is a big challenge. I see the difference between both the characters and lauren is brilliant making us see Sarah Braverman and not Lorelai Gilmore.

I watched the promo. Actually we're in a new day and age. They could have easily had an interracial couple?! Or even have one of the teens in an interracial relationship. Did you not think about that? And the sibling category is a cop out, way too easy and a total theft of the old "Parenthood" film. This is not a film for everyone in the US. Only some types of people...which are obviously displayed.
It's like Black people, Hispanic people, and Asian people do not live in America and aren't parents. Like if this was about parenthood they could have opened it up to something wider. This is marketed to one type of people...it's fuckin' frustrating.

Right. Spanish TV? Spanish is a language or people from Spain...not a race (in a strict meaning). The "Hispanic" people come in a wide range of races. So that's a weak argument. BET is MTV owned---speak to them about that crap. I don't watch BET to know. Further more, you're comparing one station---found on cable. To a series of stations found on regular television. If you don't pay for BET, you don't get BET. The topic addresses any parent with kids or without--regardless of race.
this trailer is from the ORiginal pilot where Maura Tierney was in it. But she was then diagnosed with breast cancer and then she had to be replaced by Lauren Graham.
So next week the pilot will be with Lauren Graham, don't worry

I watched the promo. Actually we're in a new day and age. They could have easily had an interracial couple?! Or even have one of the teens in an interracial relationship. Did you not think about that? And the sibling category is a cop out, way too easy and a total theft of the old "Parenthood" film. This is not a film for everyone in the US. Only some types of people...which are obviously displayed.

It's like Black people, Hispanic people, and Asian people do not live in America and aren't parents. Like if this was about parenthood they could have opened it up to something wider. This is marketed to one type of people...it's fuckin' frustrating.

I find that all types of these programmes seem to run to an irritating format ,and I guess that format does not include non whites .What about Spanish TV or BET do they have white characters in their show s ? IMaybe they are pandering to a mainly white middle middke class audiences and they are selling the show to the people that want to advertise to rich white folk .I would not have thought non whites would not have found this show interesting

Right. Spanish TV? Spanish is a language or people from Spain...not a race (in a strict meaning). The "Hispanic" people come in a wide range of races. So that's a weak argument. BET is MTV owned---speak to them about that crap. I don't watch BET to know. Further more, you're comparing one station---found on cable. To a series of stations found on regular television. If you don't pay for BET, you don't get BET. The topic addresses any parent with kids or without--regardless of race.

this trailer is from the ORiginal pilot where Maura Tierney was in it. But she was then diagnosed with breast cancer and then she had to be replaced by Lauren Graham.
So next week the pilot will be with Lauren Graham, don't worry
