here is the thing as a choreographer I see what they strut around at the pool in.... they wear more on stage in most cases than they wear to the pool. It is for a show environment and I would never allow a child who didn't look good or feel comfortable in a 2 piece costume on the stage. I also consult the parents to make sure they are ok with it as well.

I've watched a lot of these videos and I just want to know why they sing along to the songs? I feel that's almost as bad as counting out loud on stage. I mean, I understand facial expressions add to the dance a lot but singing? I'm not so sure.I'm also not a competition dancer so I mean if it has something to do with comp, can someone explain? @morgannoellex you'll notice that it's mainly the younger girls that sing along a little bit. it just helps them remember their dances a little bit better, especially in solos. i used to do it when i was younger too and it made me remember it better even though i didn't know i was even doing it.

Of course her turns, leaps and extensions are great. But most of the actual dancing is sloppy. That seems to be a trend with young dancers lately. All the emphasis is put on the "tricks" and not on the dancing. She's great, just needs some clean up.

@TheBANZEEE I doubt it. Most kids don't perform intricate, sexually charged dance routines designed for adults because it makes no sense to them, has no relevance to them at their stage in life and is inappropriate.

I know it's a great demonstration of skill, but at the end of the day it's a kid doing a dance that's specifically designed to be sensual and passionate when performed by adults.

In any case, parents push their kids into this shit - that's not even disputable. It's just a fact.

@TheBANZEEE A lot of people have been saying that on here, but I honestly can believe she's 8. Some people get long limbs early on; the rest of the impression is just the outfit, I think. Dresses and bikinis and the like make women all look the same and all look fairly mature.
