  • These are very heavy rain clouds. You see some head inside.

  • These people would think it looks like T&A, I for one thought it looked like challah bread at first. I saw some earlier, so beautiful but they disappear so quickly. :)

  • 0:33 fake, and 1:00 to 1:27 is also fake

  • 0:33 fake

  • they look creepy

  • whats the name of this song?

  • @renots4200 Hurry up By Roberto molinaro.

  • @oranjedan hey thanx really cool jam, makes me watch the video all the time lol

  • Every time I see clouds like these, I think of Steven Spielberg movies. He always has those kind of weird ominous clouds in his movies. We see these kind of clouds in Poltergeist when there's a thunder storm coming and the little boy is in his bed really scared with that big skeletal tree in his window.

I didn't think those kind of clouds were real. Well, I learned something new today. Good !!!

  • you forgot Close Encounters.

  • @PupuTheClown Oh yeah, completely forgot this one and it's one of my favourite movies.

  • i saw these at a party at someones house when a SuperCell was in da area luckily it was to the east and usualy storms move west to east =) plus the storm missed us

  • You know... if I ever saw them over my house... I think I would faint! It gives me the feeling of doom! I know they aren't dangerous, they are just plain scary! =/

  • Ive seen these clouds twice in my life so far

  • Amazing piece of nature!

  • nice song :D

  • haha the third image is just an underwater photo taken looking up at ice.

  • haha the 3rd image is just taken underwater looking up at ice

  • @froznmango It's clouds, the photo just has a lot of contrast added making the clouds darker than they really are. Also causing the blue hue to darken in the dark areas and lighten up in the brighter sections. I storm chase and film these clouds if they look and show good enough to film them. Most of the time, they are hardly visible, that's why so many people never notice them during the small time frame that they are in the sky.

  • @Torn80cj what do these formations indicate weather wise ???

  • you know wat guys-these clouds give me creeps.

  • its amazing because they dont look real

  • Rather than popcorn, in my honest opinion, I think it looks like shaving cream.

  • some look animated

  • HAARP

  • 1:46 looks like an asperatus, im sure it is not a mammatus

  • Yep, not mammatus.

  • @svenXDsven Asperatus is the new name given to the ones a 1:46, but before then, they were listed under the Mammatus classification. I don't know if they have officially changed the name to Asperatus yet, so it may still be classified as mammatus. If not, it's just a matter of time.

  • I love mammatus clouds, they are so beautiful. They are very rare where I live. I have only seen them a hand full of times after severe storms.

  • Chemtrails

  • Chemtrails?

  • why do those clouds look like the belong in a cartoon or a stop motion film they look so weird

  • Hello, nice video!!!!!*s

  • id hit it

  • You are fools! I saw much worse in Santa Fe in'94 & the Black pyramid of death over Tulsa! Suddenly CHEMTRAILS, then Cheney says "spray 'em", finally the HAARP Quake-Beamer as new "Shock Developmental Model" for Haiti & elsewhere's! Don't you realize you are witnessing the OIL DICTATORSHIP'S Earth Destruction plan in action!?!

  • scary clouds

  • @ torn80cj, I saw your mammatus cloud videos. the ones in west OK are crazy!!! The bubbles do look like they're going to pop.

  • Awesome clouds, I have videoed some myself that look like bubbles ready to pop. These clouds can get really crazy looking at times, but the conditions have to be right to get the really crazy looking ones. Sun angel really determines the visibility and contrast you can see with these clouds.

  • If the mammatus clouds at 1:13 are not photoshopped, then I would have to rate your mammatus clouds in western oklahoma as 3rd best ever, but if the 1:13 mammatus in this vid(slide show) are photoshopped, then I rate your mammatus clouds 2nd all time of mammatus clouds I have seen pictured or videoed. You got some good ones torn80cj. I still have to rank the Hastings NE mammatus as #1.

  • I'm pretty sure they aren't photoshopped but they probably are tweaked in words of lighting and color.

  • @anonymousstormchaser You've obviously never seen these in person? We get these all the time in Missouri. They look exactly like that. They're insanely, crazy-cool. One thing Missouri is good with is clouds.

  • no, lol I have seen plenty of Mammatus, I was responding to "svenXDsven's" comment about 1:46 in the video. Those are not mammatus lol. I photograph storms in Arizona and we see mammatus a lot. It is really beautiful and photogenic if they occur during sunset.

  • @TheMIssingSock

Yep I live in s.w. missouri and have some pretty sweet pics from may 2005.

  • 1:00 That's when you run!

  • no ,thats when i take pictures and shoot a video :P and go tottaly crazy ehehe

  • I've seen them before...they're normal during severe weather where I'm from.

  • Where I'm from, too. And I'll bet my severe weather is worse than yours:)

the issue this year is that these clouds are appearing at the sunset (like normal... sort of) and then after sunset they vanish. No thunderheads rolling in off the plains. No lightning, no winds.

The jetstream was in Canada most of the summer. There were many times systems came from the east without the aid of a low pressure or tropical airmass!

Look at my channel comments box and watch my "Draupnir.... Oden" vid.

  • Worse than mine huh? Possibly. I live in what is considered "Tornado Alley" though. In the midwest. I'll check you out though.

  • Cool. So, your a weather expert, too?

I tried to explain to someone in cali that we have to know the weather intimately because it can be a matter of life and death.

My conclusion is if you have ever gone to the basement and dodged a tornado, then came back up and watched the local newschopper follow it the rest of the way out of town, then you are probably a weather expert!

    Keep your head up!!

  • also here in New England....

  • Awesome photos of the formations the chemicals can assemble into of those

conning trails Almost like a radiant form in some regards in many places thruout your video

    Peace from No Calif

  • what a beatiful, just like from tales :) i will go to there for to see that !

  • wow looks like a bunch of popcorns

  • i saw thee kinds of clouds in nyc about a month ago AROUND 34th street my friend and i saw them and took pictures we thought they were beautiful though we had no idea what they were called now thanks to this vid i know, ill be sure to tell her, she loved them, they were so strange, the first time ive seen them before anywhere

  • you will see a lot more of this in the next little while.

  • @Silberhorter I agree

  • @Silberhorter what do you mean?

  • after u saw the clouds how long after that did it rain

  • They are the underside of the anvil of a thunderstorm, close to the storm but in the non-precip part. The updraft is strong enough to keep the rain and hail above, resulting in turbulent, odd-shaped clouds. With an updraft that strong, severe thunderstorm(s) often are associated with it.

  • everytime i see a mammatus cloud (never seen one in real life) i wanna fly up there and stuff one in my mouth

  • they exist and then they disperse into...rain! just that they often mean a very strong storm will come from them. Such beautiful things yet dangerous, like many things in nature :)

  • "Where's mama?" "My name is Cheryl, and I'm your daughter."

  • 0:24 look like a face

  • I love mammatus clouds. Indication that there is alot of instability in the upper-atmosphere. Mostly seen under the anvil of the storm. I'm supposing that's there purpose but i just want to eat them. They look like marshmellows.

  • under the anvil ????? this comes before rain.....!!

  • lol sorry the "Name" of the song is Hurry up By Roberto molinaro.

  • Awsome tune!!Roberto molinaro is the name of song.

  • what is this track....????????

  • dude that comes b4 a TWISTER

  • not at all. mammatus clouds form due to atmospheric turbulence, usually after a thunderstorm. they look intimidating, but they're harmless.

  • well they come with anvil clouds which can become tornadic

  • yep, can produce tornado, one hit near mt. vernon pa. during one of these events

  • Cool video. The photos at(0:59-1:12) and (1:12-1:25) look like surrealistic paintings. Thanks for sharing.

  • the picture after those look like popcorn

  • twilight zone music, twilight zone skies, it must be the twilight zone, but it seems its our world, are we in the twilight zone... i want to see flying burgers and people can freely eat them, this would be a pretty good twilight zone side effect

  • H.A.A.R.P.
