In the real crash it did not overshoot it lost power in one engine and they shut down the wrong engine and landed short. Plus they didnt hit any cars. In the real one anyway.

This is A Freeware Scenery of a flight which was on final approach runway 27 at East Midlands but had an engine failure but they turned off the wrong engine and were powerless. The 737 crashed just after the M1 after taking out some lightpoles.
