Historically when the Israelites tried to fight their own battles, they failed and fell into the hands of their enemies, not to be delivered from them for decades at times. Jesus said that there is now no more difference between Jew and gentile. Are we not to trust in the Lord to fight our battles as He did deliver His people the Israelites when they TRUSTED in Him?! I believe this is the only way. We lost our Christianity in America. That is why we suffer this persecution!

Jesus taught us some of the most difficult precepts by which we are to live, at the sermon on the mount of olives. Jesus talked about this in Matthew 5:38-48. Particularly pertinent verses, "...But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also... But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
