Oh we here in Germany we have a really different Sirene Horns.

I´m from Bavaria, but my parents come from South Poland and i come every year to Poland to my Holidayhouse and vistit my Uncels, Aunt...

And i heard many horns from different countries, but in my homeland Poland, they have great Horns.

Nice that you are silent when siren is not needed.

Why siren when no traffic?

@robertgift because there were large crossroads with red lights and how you saw the other car's drove

such are the provisions of road, ambulance in Poland should have on light and sound signals all the times when when he goes to an accident or is injured on board

@topa1000 Our laws permit no siren when the siren is not necessary.

When traffic has moved out of our way or there no traffic, I press the P.A. microphone button (switch) which instantly silences the siren. Open button for sound.

Our siren is too loud; 200 Watts from two efficient exponential speakers.

I made our lights more effective so we do not need the siren as much. (I try to be as quiet and unobtrusive as possible.)

@topa1000 We have a device which flashes the headlights. Flashing headlights are a very effective signal noticed from a greater distance.

With our more effective lights, drivers often pull over earlier and I need not sound the siren.

The siren is merely a tool to draw attention to the lights.

@robertgift yes it's true your Ambulances have more lights than our own, so are more visible and drivers more disciplined, but also have special lanes for emergency vehicles, so it is easier for you

Najgorsza syrena z wszystkich dzwięk jest wkurząjący - wilk-kastrat HI-LO jak w autoalarmie co z tego że jest może słyszalna jak kierowcy myślą że to ...autoalarm. Zdecydowanie lepsze są ZURY 3xxx +klakson lub Federale

Tak, ten model Zury jest lepiej słyszalny od poprzednich, ale Federal jest lepszy i głośniejszy (używa 2 tonów jednocześnie i horn nie wyłącza sygnałów)

wiesz była 3:00 w nocy a my jeździmy po całym dolnym śląsku są tylko 2 takie karetki ("N")więc jazda przez kilka godzin na sygnale to masakra dla uszu jedziemy na niebiesko ale jak przejeżdżamy przez miejscowość lub przed nami znajduje się 1 pojazd lub kolumna pojazdów włączamy dodatkowo sygnał dźwiękowy pozdrawiam

Jestem z Estonii.. u nas czesto jezdzi sie bez dzwieku. Kiedy droga jest wolna, bez samochodow to tylko gwiazdki blyskaja na ambulansach:)

Ale w Polsce jest prawo, które mówi, że pojazdem uprzywilejowanym możemy nazwać pojazd, który ma pozwolenie oraz załączone sygnały świetlno-dźwiękowe. W wielu krajach nie ma takiego czegoś, ale w Polsce jest. :) Ja się naciąłem kiedyś na to, że nie miałem dźwiękowych i wolę tego raz jeszcze nie przechodzić. :] Pozdr.
