  • bit much

  • How can anyone like the neko version more than this version. Not only is it the original, but he is so much more emotive!

  • I've watched this three times now, which makes me realize I'm nursing a broken heart. It's like reading old love letters.

  • Ahhh tears..

    Fucking great.

  • Nilsson's the genius but Neko's version with Elvis Costello is better, imho. Harry's version is a little too over produced.

  • @ZZJoCa no way bro, Harry has so much more emotion.

  • @Slacktest I love Harry but it's a privilege to disagree: Don't Forget Me - Neko Case

Try it. Just her and the piano

  • @ZZJoCa did Harry rules ty

  • @Slacktest Ok, Ok, you win; I give up. Harry does beat her by x two because he wrote it and played the piano. I just don't like the violins. Neko's version is very complimentary because she's true to the song. Better?

  • Great Song

  • significance of the yin yang'esque symbol on cover art- living by each other not trying to change. axcceptance- john was split with yoko me thinks

  • Except Marianne Faithfull of coarse

  • It was my understanding that John put his name & face on the cover to help Harry sell records at a time where both their careers weren't doing too good .. I really, really love this album though, it's so beautiful and well produced!

  • just lovely,

Marianne Faithful's version is ALMOST as sweet

  • 22,222

  • Good song.

I'm looking for "Old forgotten soldier"

    Who can place it?

    thanks Harry

  • They were such great buddies that the Beatles at on point ask him to sign up and become the fifth Beatles.

  • This is a very sad song, who'd thought this would be a precursor to Harry's life.. Makes you tear listening to it...RIP Harry and John...

  • @krugin72 Nicely put.

  • "D" rug "S"

  • Heartbroken.

  • why is john lennon's name on the board thing?

  • @donvernator Perhaps because Nilsson and Lennon were great buddies.

  • @donvernator It's because John Lennon worked on this album with Nilsson.

  • @donvernator Yes, they were good buddies, however, the reason is —John Lennon produced this album —that's what the sign is stating in the Lennon reference —"Produced By John Lennon"

  • Ahhh Harry but how could we ever forget you....

  • Marianne Faithfull's version is devastating.

  • Love this. Macy Gray's version is superb as well.

  • And we don't forget you either Harry Nilsson RIP

  • walkmen version rules, too. duh

  • Awwwww. I LOVE Harry!

  • I grew up listening to all of the greats of the 60's and 70's but this is the first time I heard this song! He had such an incerdible voice and he makes my hair stand on end with the pitch. RIP Harry!

  • I really loved the Neko Case version and then I heard this...

  • I love his song Nilsson had one of the best voices such emotion and pitch miss you Harry RIP.

  • I don't know how many times I've listened to this song and every time it gets me....

  • his voice is soooo nice.. :)

  • great song, great album

  • WOW, so good!

  • this song is amazing so sad

  • Macy Gray was pretty good too

  • Neko Case recently covered this song. It's a pretty good one ,but, nobody tops Nilsson's version.

  • @bandcouver If you get a chance to hear Joe Cockers cover of this great song You will find it a good version

  • wow...

  • Love it1 He has that chord that just tugs at your heart, and then sings something so sad. He's just so good.
