@Slacktest Ok, Ok, you win; I give up. Harry does beat her by x two because he wrote it and played the piano. I just don't like the violins. Neko's version is very complimentary because she's true to the song. Better?
It was my understanding that John put his name & face on the cover to help Harry sell records at a time where both their careers weren't doing too good .. I really, really love this album though, it's so beautiful and well produced!
@donvernator Yes, they were good buddies, however, the reason is —John Lennon produced this album —that's what the sign is stating in the Lennon reference —"Produced By John Lennon"
I grew up listening to all of the greats of the 60's and 70's but this is the first time I heard this song! He had such an incerdible voice and he makes my hair stand on end with the pitch. RIP Harry!
dinner. later that night the babysitter called and asked if she could pit a sheet over the clown statue in the kids bedroom the father said "get the kids out of the house and I'll call the police , we don't own a clown statue" it turned out that the clown was a murderer that escaped from jail. If u don't repose this to 10 videos the clown will be in ur bedroom tonight at 3am with a chainsaw...

How can anyone like the neko version more than this version. Not only is it the original, but he is so much more emotive!

I've watched this three times now, which makes me realize I'm nursing a broken heart. It's like reading old love letters.

Nilsson's the genius but Neko's version with Elvis Costello is better, imho. Harry's version is a little too over produced.

@ZZJoCa no way bro, Harry has so much more emotion.

They were such great buddies that the Beatles at on point ask him to sign up and become the fifth Beatles.

why is john lennon's name on the board thing?
donvernator 1 year ago
@donvernator Perhaps because Nilsson and Lennon were great buddies.
MrDrewlips 1 year ago
@donvernator It's because John Lennon worked on this album with Nilsson.
