Great to see blacks playing folk. Things go full circle. Up until the 30's, blacks recorded both traditional anglo/American Southern Folk tunes & black adaptions & black original folk tunes as well. The "race" record industry changed that, sadly. They were afraid blacks wouldn't buy "Hillbilly" music, and that Whites wouldn't buy the "race" records (of course they were wrong). It cut off a lot of original black fiddle styles.

They stole the show last year at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival. Such talent and mastery.
