im thinking that this new album is gonna be really controversial with the fans. from listening to a few of these live songs, it sounds very grungey with some screaming parts. its kind of a throw back to nirvana or alice in chains. add some screaming and intense chords and effects and they have their own sound. i have faith in brand new enough for this to be a good album.
TBH, that's again due to the high levels of volume.
i'm a musician, so I know that when I play live, or go to shows, i should wear earplugs to protect my already terrible hearing. i use ones that have a flat rate of attention, so it sounds exactly the same, but several decibels lower.
thus, the live mix sounds much better at a more manageable volume.
i dunno, i like it. vinnie is doing some cool stuff on guitar, and jesse belts his heart out. <3
@julianstoked yeah it did just sound like a bunch of noise in person, and you could barely make out what they were saying. But you still knew the songs if you were there for them, because no one was there for The Robbers.

new album isn't that good. the acoustic version of this song >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> plugged in, or even worse the recorded version.

the picture is good, the audio is typical poop from fan recorded live ones.
no offense to the original poster, very grateful. It's just inescapable that the high levels of volume will distort the mic.

I agree, but honestly even in person the song sounded like a bunch of noise.
I don't think the new record will be very well received.
