Skyrim is because CapCom have released on the 3ds, and it really pisses me off that that has h append, as they won't be developing/releasing games outside of Japan for at least another year I would say, and I would still be playing MH if CapCom hadn't done this. @MrRabv ...actually, he is right and you are wrong. It's the first one of the 2 exclusive 3DS monster hunter titles. It will be released in japan on December 10th and it's a remake of MH tri with additional content. The chances of it being localized are pretty high.

@Cillianl0 ...The DS is practically dead. It has almost no more games coming for it. I don't think they are even going to make any more pokemon games for it. You can also play pokemon DS (and 3DS) on the 3DS since it has backwards compatibility. Also, the DS isn't selling that well and the 3DS is actually outselling everything. It's has been the best selling console for the past 2 months and it's only going to sell more over the holidays.

@Cillianl0 The DS sold like shit until the DSlite came out. It wasn't selling because it was expensive and it had few games for it. But now it's $80 cheaper and it's getting big games on it. Why are you interested in seeing the 3DS fail? It's going to sell very well in japan thanks to 2 monster hunters so more japanses developers will make games for it. Sales will drop slightly, but the good games that are coming and the eventual re-model will raise sales up again. Don't be such a pessimist ;)

The 3DS was marketed well and was following a massive games console however at the end of the day it didn't sell nearly as well as it should have. Perhaps it was speculation that it had a grand total of 5 hours battery life when played in 3D or that it became a major strain on the eyes or that they didn't wait until the big games were coming out so they could sell it in bundles it's not pessimism or me wanting to see it fail

Analyst where expecting it to sell well so Nintendo took this oportunity to make"good"with 3rd party devs that where always complaining that their games don't sell well on nintendo platforms when they compete with nintendo games so they pushed back all their mayor titles so the 3rd party could carry the platform,but they were playing the wait and see game thus resulting in the sales plummeting. Nintendo is fixing it :P

If what you say about the 3rd party developers is true, well then they made a major mistake I'm not even sure Nintendo would make that's asking for the console to fail. The ps3 is starting to sell more than it has before and the 3DS (which people have passed of for doomed) is essentially selling double that. And what nintendo did for it's 3rd party should have been a good thing, but the 3rd party devs didn't take advantage of it. Nintendo has also been working on a bunch of games for it since the 3DS was first announced.

@Cillianl0 The reason they let the 3rd party devs "carry the system" until the holidays is because they usually made the excuse that their games didn't sell well when competing against "nintendo games". So nintendo made sure that they didn't have any excuse not to develop for it and they decided to take the extra time time develop their games. 3rd party on the Wii was terrible, but Nintendo usually has great 3rd party support for their handhelds.

To trust the fate of an entirely new console which Nintendo has spent money researching, advertising, developing etc. in the hands of third party devs is foolish if you ask me. Developers just need to think like entrepreneurs and find something appealing to customers that is new or improve an existing game and stop crying that Nintendo is too competitive if you ask me

uncharted on the other hand is just a way to show off the vitas graphics
the game play is average for an adventure its surprisingly bad
keep that in mind while you judge games by their notoriety and not by the actual game itself

@PerfectBlade20 3DS is a great system don't get me wrong, I have one but, I think when the Vita hits a lot of people are going to buy it because its like a hybrid between an iPod touch and PSP.The Vita has so many more possibilities than the 3DS. But personally i'm not interested in the vita seeing as I already have an iPhone and a PS3.

@MrRabv ...actually, he is right and you are wrong. It's the first one of the 2 exclusive 3DS monster hunter titles. It will be released in japan on December 10th and it's a remake of MH tri with additional content. The chances of it being localized are pretty high.

@Cillianl0 Well, if you like monster hunter. There are TWO monster hunter games coming. Also, the DS isn't getting any more games so you might as well trade it in for the 3DS. You aren't going to pay 200 euros just for monster hunter, you are going to pay 160 for a brand new handheld that can play a lot of games. :P

@jimmyelgringito Well seeing as how currently I only really play my DS for pokemon, I'll trade it in when they stop making pokemon for the DS then I'll be more than happy to trade it in but right now I'm perfectly happy with my DS and seeing the sales of the 3DS, so are many others so if you ask me the DS won't be dying soon and until that time arises I'll just get Monster Hunter 3rd HD for PS3

@Cillianl0 ...The DS is practically dead. It has almost no more games coming for it. I don't think they are even going to make any more pokemon games for it. You can also play pokemon DS (and 3DS) on the 3DS since it has backwards compatibility. Also, the DS isn't selling that well and the 3DS is actually outselling everything. It's has been the best selling console for the past 2 months and it's only going to sell more over the holidays.

@jimmyelgringito Look the 3DS is out-selling everything because it has no competition at the moment because nothing new has come out and since it's the new thing people wanted one don't get me wrong it's brilliant but most people didn't see the point in buying one look at the sales of the 3DS and DS over the same time period DS sold more it's well known that the 3DS didn't sell much. In an internet article about MH on 3DS the title was 'Can Monster Hunter save the 3DS?' so yeah...

@Cillianl0 The 3DS has sold MORE than the DS did in the same period of time. Also, the DS had a much worse start. Also, the 3DS is selling like crazy because it doesn't have any competition, BUT it also doesn't have it's BIG games on it yet like mario, mario kart, and monster hunter. Also, monster hunter saved the psp, and the 3DS is selling a lot better than the psp so yeah, i think it will do fine :P

If the 3DS actually outsold the 360 in less than a year it would an amazing accomplishment that is impossible for basically anything. My source is VGcharts, these stats are basically what they do :P

At the time of launch these consoles were selling massively. Maybe over time the sales will reach up with the others but at the minute this is very unimpressive. It's the new thing this year. Of course people are going to buy it but over time sales drop and the 3DS will plummet after the next big thing hits.

@Cillianl0 The DS sold like shit until the DSlite came out. It wasn't selling because it was expensive and it had few games for it. But now it's $80 cheaper and it's getting big games on it. Why are you interested in seeing the 3DS fail? It's going to sell very well in japan thanks to 2 monster hunters so more japanses developers will make games for it. Sales will drop slightly, but the good games that are coming and the eventual re-model will raise sales up again. Don't be such a pessimist ;)

The 3DS was marketed well and was following a massive games console however at the end of the day it didn't sell nearly as well as it should have. Perhaps it was speculation that it had a grand total of 5 hours battery life when played in 3D or that it became a major strain on the eyes or that they didn't wait until the big games were coming out so they could sell it in bundles it's not pessimism or me wanting to see it fail

Analyst where expecting it to sell well so Nintendo took this oportunity to make"good"with 3rd party devs that where always complaining that their games don't sell well on nintendo platforms when they compete with nintendo games so they pushed back all their mayor titles so the 3rd party could carry the platform,but they were playing the wait and see game thus resulting in the sales plummeting. Nintendo is fixing it :P

If what you say about the 3rd party developers is true, well then they made a major mistake I'm not even sure Nintendo would make that's asking for the console to fail. They should be focusing on their sales and the major developers should have come before the third party devs

The ps3 is starting to sell more than it has before and the 3DS (which people have passed of for doomed) is essentially selling double that. And what nintendo did for it's 3rd party should have been a good thing, but the 3rd party devs didn't take advantage of it. Nintendo has also been working on a bunch of games for it since the 3DS was first announced.

@Cillianl0 The reason they let the 3rd party devs "carry the system" until the holidays is because they usually made the excuse that their games didn't sell well when competing against "nintendo games". So nintendo made sure that they didn't have any excuse not to develop for it and they decided to take the extra time time develop their games. 3rd party on the Wii was terrible, but Nintendo usually has great 3rd party support for their handhelds.

To trust the fate of an entirely new console which Nintendo has spent money researching, advertising, developing etc. in the hands of third party devs is foolish if you ask me. Developers just need to think like entrepreneurs and find something appealing to customers that is new or improve an existing game and stop crying that Nintendo is too competitive if you ask me

@ryghon ...the 3DS doesn't need a lot of saving. Mario kart and Super mario should be enough. It's not failing like the psp was when it got it. :P I don't think something could be considered a failure when it's outselling every other console by a lot.
