No, wrong. Bought my Focus, with this system, oh lawdy lawd I wish I kept my 05 Taurus with the tape deck. Works so much better on hooking up my accessories. I'm now another MFT owner, anxiously awaiting that damn update.... Ford should at least give Non-Navi people free Navi for this massive inconvenience.

@AdamEchelon No it's a nice watch, a Bulova 96A107 and I love it. Ford's sending people USB flash drives for MyFord Touch 2.0 which is supposed to be a major performance upgrade so I'm hoping I get it soon. I'll have videos of it as soon as I get it.

I purchased a 2012 Focus SE, so without the MyFord touch. I have been having constant problems with my Sync system, and I have even sent letters to Ford asking for solutions. They only respond saying that the system is running the current software and they apologize for any inconveniences. This car is a pile of junk. Your lucky you leased it. I'm stuck with it for 4 more years...
@Freakout550 I have an SE also and experienced a problem with the Sync system after using a flash drive in the USB port in the center console. I'd pull the handle and wouldn't get any voice prompts. I thought maybe it was in some kind of "expert mode," but nothing would happen with commands. I finally found a reset option somewhere in the menus and now it's working the way it did when I got it. Don't know if this helps, but thought I would share.
@explorden I also performed the master reset and nothing changed in the slightest. I won't get the dealer involved again until the 2.0 version of MyFord Touch is installed...if it still doesn't work then it's their problem again.
Mine doesn't have this problem. I did have it freeze one or twice then I took it to dealership and they updated the glitches. Haven't had since I went in man.
Just FYI, I had the same "Indexing" problem with my Fiesta. I know they're different systems, but the exact same thing happened after I updated SYNC. What I did was buy a higher speed USB drive and it works fine now. Still, this is unacceptable, I shouldn't have to buy a new drive because Ford doesn't know how to program firmware properly. I'm planning on getting a Focus ST this fall, but these videos are making me think otherwise.. unless the 2013 update really is as good as they say it is.

I've had a similar problem with my car. You need to disconnect the battery and wait 5 minuts. That will reset you're whole system (software) and (maybe) it will help.
Ford was stupid at best to deal with Microsoft. They have ALWAYS (except fot Windows7) released half-baked software and left it up to the number of customer complaints to dictate how little they would actually have to make work right! Microsoft -famous for crashes! Just what an Auto manufacturer would want, right? Well, actually, Ford opted for a highly profitable cheaply made product they they could hype.
They aren't going to "get it' until it's too late, IMO.
Okay, let me tell you. You have had some AMAZING reviews and I know its a VERY HYPED feature to the car, just as cars in the past it can be replaced. I'm sure it drives fine. Write back when the car starts to crap on you. Its all new... Its a computer. Get it fixed you tech savvy freak :)
it's a software issue...small updates have been rolling out... a large update is coming soon just keep checking with the dealer and watch for the usb drive coming in your mailbox soon...hang in there...
@mercmilan06 All cars have issues the First year it comes out. The Sync system has nothing to do with Ford though like I said in your other video. Its not built by Ford the audio system has nothing to do with the functionality of the car if it drives and moves its fine. Just like if you had paint issues with the car and had to keep getting it painted cause the factory screwed it up during the primer stage it doesn't cause the car not to function.
I have 2.11 on my new TI... GPS has failed a fair bit, and the Navigation has failed many times... sometimes locking up the entire system and finally causing a reboot. Frustrating. Ford needs to hurry up with the bug fix release.

So your only problem is that you can't listen to music, and NOTHING else? It could be worse... Maybe it's frustating, but it does not affect the car or reability at any way. It's just an entertainment system's faulty (a.k.a. Microsoft) software.
@gentle285 umm no, the entire screen freezes indefinitely...so that leaves to phone or audio capability at all, and I bought a Titanium for a reason--to have a premium sound system--so if I can't use half the car from time to time on a brand new car that cost me a lot of money, I'm going to be pretty frustrated...hence the name of the video series, there's no excuse for a brand new car to be like this

I have the same problems on my Ti. Froze up twice in the last week. There is an update coming early 2012 so I'm hoping things get fixed then. I know you go to focusfanatics from time to time so I'd just keep stopping by there for an update. Also, you should bring your Ti in for the transmission reflash since theres a TSB for that out now for cars made before Aug 10th.
it was better with the old version of the program wasn`t it? isn`t there kind of a homepage on the internet where focus-driver can tell their problems and find solutions together. you should check it out this problem isn`t a one-time-case surely.

I just got my 2012 Ford Focus SEL (I watched your videos prior to leasing) and I have had some of the same issues with the touch system. It just seems all around "buggy" especially with my iPhone.
MyFord is the only problem right?? Im pretty sure their going to give you extra months of free xm to compensate for your lack of radio for the period of time it was out. Other than that, are you still digging your car??
@MrJun909 it's getting pretty hard to dig the car over the squeaks, rattles, and transmission tuning which I'm really starting to get sick of...I'll have updates in future videos explaining the transmission stuff
If you remember me telling you about my Neighbors Focus with the blown engine, Yeah it went back today. Rough idle and its knocking from somewhere. Great car other than that. I like the PowerShift transmission!
@talldude123 because the Focus has a way nicer interior, it handles better, gets better gas mileage, has way more features, and I wanted the latest and greatest Ford had to offer...obviously that was a stupid idea
@mercmilan06 Sure, you get 5 extra MPG's, but you get a much less powerful engine. 175hp in the Fusion S vs 150 which yours has. I think you should just find a guy with a 2010 Fusion, any trim, and do a straight trade over with him
@talldude123 I already do, he has had massive transmission problems with it and it is the bane of his existence. My car has 160hp and it is lighter and has a more efficient DSG transmission so it is more responsive than a Fusion which has a conventional automatic. The 6F35 is the culprit, valve body issues.

No shuttering from the auto manual tranny
Or any other problems.
Microsoft should come up with a better update for the my ford touch though
