a great bike but i hate the noise the suspention makes when landing a jump from a metre high or more plus it doesnt seem to have alot of exitment in the sound and feel. my dad has the WR450 i have a YZ250F I like my bike better its 2009 & they have alot more exitment to them & i do my bike up so awesumly

maybe look at something like a Yamaha YZ250F. or a WR250F. the WR is the one that has lights and indicators so you can ride it on the road provided you have the license

@05Atomik the WR250R is for legal street and dirt riding it has head lights, tail lights, turn signals and a place for a liscence plate.

What??, your post makes no sense? All bikes are choked up, as you put it, from factory to meet government emmision regulations? I've ridden both 08 models, Honda has more bottom end whilst the Yamaha is more willing to rev up top.

I have a 06 WR450...de baffeled exhaust....grey wire mod....and none of the enviro stuff you have to have in america on it...It goes good.....Will power wheel 3rd gear with standard gearing....Goes great it the bush....

Standard gearing it really wants to be doing 60-70kph all the time

oh yea man. i went from a honda to the yamaha and the yami is a way better bike. although its a little choked up out of the box so youll have to do some free mods
