  • When you bring up the idea of the Illuminati in this I think it is automatically a bad thing. Unfortunately I don't think your father was involved in a good society. However I do not think your father would have been a bad person for joining them. I think that maybe he didn't know enough as a 33rd degree to know about the bad things going on within it. I don't believe everything written about Freemasons because it is easy to contradict things when you are unsure.

  • @diablo9333 Hi, diablo9333: There's no evidence that the Illuminati exists these days -- it's gone from being an institution to nothing more than a colloquialism, so don't sweat it. And don't sweat Masonry, either. We have no political power anymore and we're not even all too interested in basic nepotism these days. We're purely social and philanthropic.

And if you're wondering: I'm a Knight Templar, not what conspiracy theorists deride as a "porch Mason."

    Take care.

  • Masonic is consider a occult religion that is consulting the spirit of the Lucifers. These low level members of Free Mason not knowing they worship him!

  • @ACatal1 I'm a Templar, friend, and will be lecturing in front of DC Masons from all over the community at the Royal Arch in March. I was also handpicked to be the exemplar of the KT degree by the Rite's head, and have donations made in my name to the KTs. Does that sound "low level" to you?

  • @ACatal1 Do you have proof that we worship the Devil?

  • @richcapo Not just me have a proof and many others like former members who were Free Masons, came forward and they admitted the Free Masons is about worshiping Lucifer, also you can buy the DVD in three parts on: "Mystery Of America Beginning." Only the members who are highest degree who found out the hard way that they are actually worshiping The Lucifer, but the lower level does not and will not know they're worshiping The Lucifer, until they reaches the higher degree of Mason.

  • @ACatal1 Again, you are being mislead by conspiracy videos. I suggest doing PRIMARY SOURCE research to find out just what Masonry is all about.

As for the "higher degrees of Mason": I'm a Knight Templar.

  • @richcapo I disagree with you, If you study those symbols that Free Masons used, It's originally from Babylon and Egyptian religions.

  • @ACatal1 Craft Masonry is strictly Old Testament/Tanakh, not Bablyonian or Egyptian. The Royal Arch uses a triune name for God that incorporates Babylonian and Egyptian mythology, but still bases it ritual on the the Old Testament/Tanakh. Cryptic Masonry is entirely OT/T like Craft Masonry. And the Templars take their mythology from Christianity. The S. Rite uses concepts from many myths. The Shrine, Islam. And that's it -- it's all myth; no historical link to any of those faiths.

  • @ACatal1 Symbols aren't history in other words.

  • @ACatal1 Incidentally I would love if Masonry had actual historical roots in antiquity, especially the antiquity of the magic mystery schools. That would be great in my opinion! (More so if magic were real, which alas it is not.)

  • @richcapo If you're a Knight Templar, good for you, in the past history, the Roman Catholic used to executed and persecute those Knight Templar. So went into the hiding for the safety in the Free Mason Lodges.

  • @ACatal1 That's really is just a theory. And I know of no Masons who buy into it. As far as we in my experience are concerned, we've inherited the Templar's integrity and nothing more. We don't hate Muslims, we don't hate Jews or anyone else as the Templars did. We simply stick to our spiritual guns, so to speak. And interestingly enough, in my jurisdiction at least, we open our ranks to men of all religions -- they simply have to be willing to defend Christianity.

  • @ACatal1 Which to many Masons is no big deal, because they are willing to defend all religious faiths. I would just as readily join a Muslim "Templar" order or a Buddhist one or whatever despite swearing my allegiance to no particular religion. My commitment to religious tolerance demands that of me.

  • @JustShellene2012 Ehum...

  • @JustShellene2012 No. We shouldn't conjure up spirits. On a paranormal investigation if a spirit presents it's self then we can ask what it's name is. However, it can be trickery by a demon.

  • @mia0899cs It's very true and many Christians I know, they don't realize when they channeling, they are consulting to spirit medium that is not from God, and these demons can get into the channels to speak with them, also play trick like pretending it's from God. The many Christians are being deceives when they channeling to the dark spirits. Bible does forbid us to do those things.

  • @ACatal1 What proof does anyone have of "channeling" anything at all? It's all so much fiction to me. I wish it weren't, but I have seen nothing to suggest that the paranormal is anything but bunk.

  • @richcapo Then you are useful idiot, that's how you can be very easily decieved!

  • @richcapo If you remember Albert Pike the former member of Free Mason, he was a leader, well famous and he had met a bright light comes down to appear before him, then he saw a Lucifer, after that he been having nightmares ever since.

  • @ACatal1 No such thing ever happened. In reality, as written on page 320 of Paike's Morals and Dogma, he asserts that good men "aspire only to God and DESPISE ALL THE POMPS AND WORKS OF LUCIFER." In addition on that same page he affirms his Christian belief that Lucifer is the Spirit of Darkness who punishes the evil.

You have been deceived by conspiracy theories, I'm afraid. The truth about the Craft is the polar opposite of what you have been duped into believing.

  • @JustShellene2012 Thanks Shellene:)

  • Regarding disallowing people with missing limbs or other disabilities to join: Most lodges dropped that years and years ago. All that the vast majority of us require of a candidate is that he be a man of good character, legal age (18 or older), who professes faith in Deity. We don't care what name a candidate gives to Deity or how he defines Deity, just that he believes in Him/Her/It/Whatever.

  • @richcapo I'm really glad that people with disabilities can join now. It was strict in PA but this is going back to the early 70's.

  • The Scottish Rite will take any Third Degree Mason who is willing to pay its membership fee -- in the Southern Jurisdiction, that's five or so hundred dollars -- and spend two or so days watching a series of morality plays that illustrate the beliefs of the Rite. Over the course of these days, degrees four through thirty-two are conferred upon ALL candidates, not a select, exclusive few.

As for blacks and Masonry: Most lodges, including my own, allow blacks to join (thank God).

  • @richcapo Thanks for the comment as it is very interesting, I'm glad that they allow blacks and minorities to join:)

  • Some corrections: Masons are prohibited from asking people to join the fraternity. A man must petition the lodge of his own free will. Also, there's nothing elitist about the Scottish Rite, which is the appendant body that offers degrees four to thirty-two, with an honorary thirty-third degree that is reserved for brethren who have contributed greatly to the Rite or Masonry in general through service (like working the lights at Reunions, leading charitable activities, et cetera). CONTINUED

  • @richcapo I don't know why my father didn't pursue the 33rd degree. He was a Shriner and Tall Cedar. It could have been because of working a lot and he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

  • @mia0899cs You can't really "pursue" the 33rd Degree, you simply are awarded it -- if you ask for it or announce that you're working toward it, it will be denied to you. There are no steps one can take to guarantee attainment of the degree, and one never knows whether he is being considered as a candidate for the 33rd.

In Masonry you do good acts simply to do good acts. If you're rewarded for them, so mote it be, but they shouldn't be expected. Sorry about your loss, by the way.

  • @richcapo thats not true Who would inform u about the lodge(to petition) if someone doesnt tell you? a petition might b necessary next however proposing u and informing u is not a bridge of free will of course

  • @delagrazia "thats not true Who would inform u about the lodge(to petition) if someone doesnt tell you?"

Look up lodges in the phone book, go online, or stop by one you see. It's not difficult. It's what I did in fact.
